this is good, cause i choked terrible hard on my placement matches, haha. i am now leaving starcraft 5th in my copper league for exams, and hopefully ill hop right up there. if anything, this is good for my confidence

I was placed in copper after playing 1-4. Now I am #1 in silver after 25 games. Before the reset I was in gold/platinum.

yes it is, but in these lost matches it was against platinum players and i lost 1 point in one,
2,5 (!!) in the other and lower than 4 in the others too.

iwas like 34-32 in gold then got droped to silver before rest. Then I went 5-0 in placment now i'm platinum lol.

This test is a little bit flawed imo. To truly test it you need to place into copper lose a few games intentionally so your ELO gets a little bit messed up and I think you'll find it takes much longer to get promoted.

It's kinda weird that he went 3-4 in gold and got into platinum. I've had far better streaks and never was able to get out of gold.

It won't be relevant to anyone with a high number of played games, unfortunately. The hidden rating you are assigned is much more variable when you have few played games. Once you have many games under your belt, it becomes tougher to jump forward.

Isn't winning the only valid skill comparison you can have in a game whose sole condition is based on winning?
