I agree with this. I was nominated by 3-4 people in the thread after I chose to nominate myself and re-post my videos. I just happened to read the post on TL right when it started. When does it switch to not being self nominated?

I'm kinda curious, and I haven't seen it mentioned yet but I wonder if any of the lost post people that signed up for this thread are the same people trying to increase their chances. Though I'm sure HB has checked for ip's.

This is so awesome it makes me warm inside. So many selfish people that don't give a fuck about this community somehow believe they should get a key because they 'really like' SC or they 'play it all day long'.
Despite the fact that I don't have a computer good enough for SC2 (well it works, but not lagfree), I would feel ashamed to ask for a key since I almost never contribute directly to the community, and there are so many awesome people around that actually never get their efforts rewarded, or even acknowledged.
HB, this is an amazing solution, but I don't expect any of these newbies to get keys. If there are people amongst them who are really deserving, I'm sure they already gave up and withdrew from the list.
Handpicking a few and rewarding them with some keys (people who make osl/msl/pl threads, who upload the occasional vod etc) seems a better way to me, perhaps it doesn't even have to be a public affair.

Wow, I'm actually impressed about how far down the list has gone. When I checked last night it was still 102 out of 151. Seriously doubt there are 53 keys though, lol. I guess now we get to see who out of the most selfish (and I say that in the most nonjudgmental way possible) will decide to give the others a chance!
Btw, my bet is it won't go below 45, mainly due to the poll on Beta Key thread, 1441 voted they still don't have one and need/want one, I know I added to that number and I'm sure these 53 did as well, haha

Some of the self-nominees had good reasons too, better than some of the peer nominees. Also, there's a difference between a selfish person and a one-time selfish act. You shouldn't judge people based on a single encounter.
