One thing i will say though, when i tune into casts like Artosis, Tasteless, Day9, DjWheat etc, i WANT them to be human. I WANT them to make mistakes that are indicative of who they are as people. Tasteless saying "um" alot, messing up unit names, thats part of why i like him. Artosis being super biased etc... thats what i like about him thats why i tune in. I let people be people and i dont need it to be watered down and totally professional all the time. The world has a billion professionals. I just need people to be people. I love Artosis racial bias. I love Tasteless as a goofball. For me personally, thats what makes it. People take dumps on Chill all the time, but i like his humor, and i like his brutality, even when i dont really agree. I dont need everything to be perfect and i prefer personality flaws and character traits.

Tasteless taking his job a bit too much for granted isn't exactly news if you have been watching him since BW. Just like Chill said he has sadly lost some of the passion he once had and he need something or someone to motivate him more.

Djwheat also made a very valid point that Artosis and Tasteless probably don't receive much feedback from the people around them due to the language barrier. They really could use some competition in Korea but I don't see that happen anytime soon.

People are going to complain no matter what. There is no one that could possibly fill the roles of those 2 guys outside of..day9. While they don't maintain professionalism, they are still entertaining which is what it's all about...I honestly probably wouldn't watch it if it was a 100% serious analytical cast.

@Eury - Tasteless has always been that way, I agree, but there was no one better than him back in the GOM bw days. He was absolutely hilarious and made a lot of those games more entertaining than they actually were.

The caller labeling Wheat a hater, when all wheat was doing was give CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Why must things be so black and white for these morons.

Chill was bang on about everything about the casting. They even said they were good, but they could be doing so much better, but there is no one to help or push them in korea. No one wants to hear Artosis talk about the marine thing on korean ladder 100 times.

The thing is they (Tastless and Artosis) could be ten times better at their job than they are right now. And they don't need to be 100% serious analytical, they can still retain their unique style, but should really show that at least they are trying to improve their casting.

I would bet I know more about SC2 than Tasteless, and I know shit about SC2

No one said that either. They are good, but they can be even better, and that goes for everyone. The question is whether they lack the drive to improve or not. If the only feedback they get is that everything is great, then there is no incentive for them to improve.

It's definitely constructive criticism, but personally I don't find it particularly compelling to listen to a caster give "constructive criticism" to another on their show. Furthermore, everyone always has room to improve and pointing that out EVERY TIME can be grating.

I dont think that Jimbo guy was a troll. He called in with what was basicly a legitimate question "are you in a position to say what you are saying?". While normally a reasonable question it turned out wrong(read: fucking hilarious) because first of all anyone who knows a bit about Wheat and his show knows that he is.

The second problem was that he never asked him directly and instead cirkled around it for like 10 minutes untill Wheat got enough of him. I think Jimbo just didnt understand what he was saying and who he was talking to. But it turned out great anyways. At least for the viewers

so like the chat went berserk. jimbo was getting onto something wheat has already spoken abt for 20 whole minutes. i was shutting off getting bored, when we realised this guy is actually pressing on the matter and fueling wheat's anger. and then TROLOLOLOL all over the chat! Chill realised it too, but wheat has taken the bait. and from jimbo's voice he seemed to enjoy it. wateva point he made good or not, was secondary. Yesterday was a good lesson on how if u react too much, some ppl may like it.

so don't feed the trolls.

p.s. Wheat's amazing. only reason y ppl would stay up till 5am to listen in to starcraft chatter.
