I'm afraid the white-screen issues were a ustream issue some people suffered from. DNS problems indeed. Thankfully, they should be resolved assuming your isp updates the dns at a decent interval.

Edited for the reason of fearing of being banned.

Long story short, in my opinion, the way that Gunrun talks is the very annoying, using all the time sounds like "um", "ehe", "aha", "uhmm" and so on.

well Ancient.eu if you're going to give advice at least try to do it in a friendly and constructive fashion or else you will get banned, just a tip.

Is anybody watching the CraftCup right now? This is terrible. Fuzer is one of the most BM players I've seen in the 2 series I've watched today. While not being the most definitive show of manner, Fuzer proxy raxxed and tried to delay games as much as possible, even beating out Tarson with a lesser force just by flying his building away. *Sigh*.

I'm sorry to hear you're not enjoying the stream. You may want to consider not tuning in instead.

If anyone was BM it was Tarson bad mouthing Fuzer at the beginning of the first game and then not GGing and yes I know its an autovictory when your last building dies but im sure he can type gg fast enough. Fancy flying buildings in a base race when your opponent has gone mass tank and marauder...

As for the last game vs Metz it annoyed me Martjin calling him BM when he has fog of war as soon as he saw what the viewers and Martjin could see he very politely said well played good sir and GG'd. They cant see what you can see unless they are cheating .

EDIT: Directed towards Wunder, I agree with Vimsey

I don't see how you can think that Fuzer was BM in any way. This is a competitve game where the main goal is to win, and there's money on the line, of course Fuzer (in a base race) is going to do everything in his power to win.

Don't confuse Bad manner with alternative playstyles, just because Fuzer plays unique and aggressive doesn't mean in anyway that he's bm. In fact, if anyone noticed, he always gg:ed and said well played in our games, and he even thanked me for the series in game 3 and left when he realized that he was dead.

I don't really see how Fuzer is bm in any way.
Winners never quit, quitters never win.

Jesus Christ Gunrun, stop being so annoying

I totally disagree. Their streams are always top notch. No drama, no annoying music, no childishness, no bragging or complaining about the game or players, no 'posing', just the game... Just the amazing Starcraft 2.

GunRun, I noticed you use the default chat client for UStream. For casting, I would imagine using an IRC client would make your life easier. If you use firefox, ChatZilla is an excellent plug-in. Otherwise you can use mIRC or X-Chat.

Assuming you aren't logged into chat via. the ustream page, load up your iRC client. type /server c.ustream.tv then press enter. Once connected, type /nick (your ustream account name) then enter. Type /pass (your ustream password) then enter. Finally, type /join #thegunrun and press enter.

Not meaning to abuse the years and years of finetuning the stream, but how do they achieve such superb quality? I reckon theres no guide on how do it like that, but it would be very interesting to know

Mostly, but not only, because they're using Ustream and not that shity (sorry about that, but it's true) LiveStream.
Most people don't use ustream because it takes a little time to set everything up, and livestream makes it easier. But TL has a guide for ustream use

Not sure when it started, but what's with the constantly switching player views? The only time I want to know what one player sees is for scouting. Seems like all day today the view is constantly being toggled back and forth, from player 1 to player 2 to Everyone. It's really distracting, because most of the time player view is irrelevant.

Kudos to you guys for being willing to leave when the games were lagging. Even though it turned out to never be you guys causing the lag, I appreciate a caster who doesn't play the "it can't be me" card. More casters need to be able to admit that everyone, including them, are capable of lagging, and that the game quality matters more than the casting.

i am not trying to be an ass, but i just watched the KOTH #5 with Sjow and Darkforce, those are some of the worst commentating i've ever heard in my life... do these people even play the game?

at some point when darkforce used 10 banelings to kill 1 supply depot, the commentator went "right now the zerg is way ahead cause he killed so many supplies"........ joke?

they also seem to mis the point about vikings and they think that Sjow wants to fight the vikings straight up against the mutas, but in reality the vikings are just there to stack the mutas for the thor....

I <3 the website and what they are trying to do, but they could really improve the quality of this by getting better commentators that understand the game and have some charisma

Isn't that Gosugamers that run that KOTH? I don't think that's GLHF unless I'm mistaken.

Yeah, sorry to hear you didn't enjoy their stream, but I'm afraid we're not involved with that one.
