I really wonder how KeSPA will react to this. EDIT: Also, I kind of wish we had PC Bangs outside Korea. I think it would both help improve the image of gaming as well as make it a more social experience. Yes, I am aware of e-Cafés, but those usually do not have such a strong emphasis on gaming. It does not help that they are few and far in-between. =(

We spent what? 10+ years having "korean" be *the* thing and now they get first open beta which means more time to play with more serious gamers. IE: a potential edge. I don't want to see korea as *the* sc2 community just like it was *the* sc1 community. I want to see euro/us get some credit. wtf.. Cant tell if serious. Actually you probably are.

As long as US culture doesn't facilitate pro-gaming, it will never become #1 in e-sports. It would be awesome if we could at least make the US more open to it with SC2, but I can't imagine it becoming the next Korea for a long time unless SC2 suddenly becomes a phenomenon like WoW, and I can't see that happening simply because WoW got popular for being the first casual MMO, and SC2 is anything but casual.

There's nothing wrong with Korea having the most dominant scene, just as long as they allow foreigners the opportunity to compete in their leagues (if they're good enough, of course).
