Love the shoutcasting, and your I Suck at Starcraft series really helped me!

Also, I watched a game recently on your live stream (PvZ) where the Toss player had 3 immortals with like 40 kills each? If I were you, I'd recast that on youtube; I know you're a busy guy, but that last stand was amazing.

Well, it's been quite a week. SHOUTcraft is now a Ustream featured show and pops up on the frontpage whenever it goes on air, which is neat but the most important thing is that it also allows you to watch it on your iPod/iPhone with the Ustream app!

Thanks to the audience and of course the players for making this success possible, here's to many more shows. My new internet connection is being installed on the 25th, I hope to have it fully up and running for BIO and will be more than doubling the current bitrate and increasing keyframe frequency, which will eliminate the soupy, low-res view of the current stream. It won't be GLHF quality, but it'll be far better than what's available now.

I'd like to talk briefly about a couple of things.

Criticism is good

Contrary to the mistaken belief of the troll earlier in the thread, criticism is an extremely useful tool and I want to see more of it. I was having a look around the forum and there was a short-lived 'favourite caster' thread in which a useful comment was made. A poster said he didn't watch SHOUTcraft because I said 'to be honest' too much and it ticked him off. So I went back and watched some live VoDs and yes, it's like some kind of verbal tick, a fallback filler phrase that is overused and making the casts worse because of that. I will make a concerted effort to eliminate that phrase from future broadcasts.

The point I'm trying to get at, is that praise is awesome and very flattering, but little critiques and comments like that can be even more valuable. I now know a reason why someone isn't watching my stream and I can fix that problem. If there are things that do bother you about SHOUTcraft, post them. I'm a big boy, I can handle it, don't worry about hurting my feelings.

I want your replays

As you're well aware, the first phase of the beta ends very soon, that means a month perhaps more of no Starcraft 2! That should not mean no shows however and I'm confident that I'll be able to continue broadcasting after the beta closes, in the form of replays, both Youtube VoDded and live. In order to help me do that, I want to build up a library of replays to broadcast, preferably previously unseen games that are entertaining. If you want your replay broadcast on SHOUTcraft, send it to shoutcraft@cynicalbrit.com with a brief description of why it would be entertaining for people to watch. Mudstomping, ending a game in a few minutes with cheese etc, is not entertaining, a genuinely competitive game with a nail-biting conclusion on the other hand is the kind of thing the viewers will lap up. The more replays I get, the more shows I can continue to broadcast while the beta is down.

i just think you're a pretty brilliant reporter. love the humor, really like the accent

i almost wetted my pants (in a good way) about the breezing-along-ovy and -again- with the SCV that morally objected to the creation of a hatchery, keep up the good work!

SHOUTcraft won't be airing today, various reasons including B.net instability, the RealID and friends list wipe screwing things up and perhaps most importantly, the fact that most of my usual roster is off at TL meetups today.

Normal service will resume Wednesday, thanks.

I have created a new US RealID account for the sole purpose of casting. Players can add it via shoutcraft[at]cynicalbrit.com - that should make it much easier to find me for next week's show. New applicants may also email that address to get added to the roster

Oh you have got to get DestinyZero or Steven Bonnell II he is a top ranked zerg player and has a stream that is here on youtube. I think this is my first post. He is a really good player.
