Come on guys, while Blizzard is giving obvious priorities to blizzcon people, they aren't evil masterminds out to punish the wicked. It is a random beta. They can't give beta keys to everyone.
Suck it up and wait like a man.

OMMGGGG!! someone help me here and wow players pay blizzard a lot of money every month... I see why those WoW players get keys.. damn i wish i played Wow..-_-; I played WoW for 4+ Years, and i have no key : ( -.-° I've played SC for ~5 years, I've played WC3 for ~5 years, I've played Diablo 1 and 2 for years on and off, so what's your point? In my opinion, SC1-Players should be the first to get keys, because they are the real fans of Starcraft and definetely the ones that are waiting for SC2 the longest and are most excited about it, just because SC2 has been a HUGE Topic in SC1-Boards all over the world for many years now. I remember posting in Threads about what Unit's/new mechanics we wanted to implement if we could in SC2 years ago on instarcraft.de, or the first pictures of the Tanks or overall too colorful visuals that nobody liked and the uproar it created in all the forums. I remember waiting for all the races to be revealed first with their new Units and mechanics and design etc. SC-Fans really have been watching the development of SC2 very closely, eagerly awaiting the Beta for so long. I don't think WoW-players gave two cents about SC2 until the release of the Beta. Call me a whiner, but that WoW-players, that haven't played SC or WC3 or any other RTS get keys, while Starcraft and/or overal Blizzard-RTS-Fans, with thousands of hours spent in battle.net (with SC, WC3 or Diablo2) don't get any love from Blizz for their loyality in those Games from the very Beginning is just unexplicable for me. I mean; It's also more likely that ppl that aren't familiar with SC1 will play less and worse than SC1-players in the Beta. While it's maybe good to see how total newcomers to the series handle themselves in SC2, Beta doesn't seem to be the right place for that, because Beta is about balancing and testing the Server-Limits, getting Feedback etc. and I don't think that non-RTS-players will serve any of those purposes. I don't wanna hate against WoW-players - If I was a WoW-player and had a Key, Hell; of course i would take it and of course also many non-starcraft-1-players want to play the Beta, I just think that Blizzard could do a better Job distributing the Keys to the real Fans of Starcraft. I wouldn't mind doing sth for it either: Quizzes about SC1 or small tournaments would be great for example, but not just for a tiny number of keys! Why not make a SC1-Quiz with timelimit and only one chance to fill it out and the first 10'000 that get it right get a key or sth like that? Sth we're true fans really have a chance to get a key without asking their mums to bake a funny SC1-Cake for them... ^^' P.S. 2 General Questions about the Beta (don't know if those infos are available, but if anyone knows sth about it, plz feel free to enlighten me!): - How many ppl are actually playing the Beta right now? - How many ppl opted in to play the SC2-Beta? I just wanna kinda feel out my chances of actually getting into the Beta anytime soon... :S

Then WoW accounts would be doubled... But no, they will priority WoW players without saying anything, like people are too dumb to figure it out how it is. Fucking Blizzard, not everyone is brainless like WoW players you know... Wouldn't that be a GOOD thing from blizzard's perspective? Ofcourse it would be good but with some exceptions. After beta phase half of those accounts would become incative, also buying only keys to get WoW in your games list isnt too expensive currently. And most important thing, Blizzard would clearly prove that they dont care about anyone besides WoW players, actually i think everyone here has a feeling thats how its really its. Well they just would abbandon SC and Diablo universes and wouldnt loss too much, like SC2 and D3 are only to not loss company image. My friend had good theory about keys for WoW players, its like they want too get WoW players familiar with SC2 and check if they will buy it cause its sure that SC1 players will buy the game anyway no matter if it suck or not.

(Blizzard Poster) No everyone stays. In general there's a lot of player churn with betas. Some percentage of invites won't ever be used, and for those that do sign on there's a decrease in testers as time goes on. It's actually fairly steep. So more and more invites go out to keep numbers of active players where we want them to be for testing. Blizzard Forum Link Just for a little more info. edit: Thought I would post the original question in case you either didn;t want to look on the Blizzard page or couldn't figure it out. "Are the present testers going to be booted on the 2nd phase? I'm asking for information regarding how testing is done. Will they listen, change then allow 'new' users to experience the game, while booting those who previously tested it?"
