Ok, yes I know everyone says that beta is for the benefit of balancing the game, testing servers, etc. etc, and this is true. However, anyone here who says that this is why they're playing the beta is lying. They are playing so they can develop mad skills over everyone before most people get a chance to play. We are all competitive here... you know this. As we know, basically all of the top foreigners have the beta, and are going to have 5-6 months of hardcore mass gaming under their belts by the time the game is released. That is quite a lot of logged play time. Some balance issues will be changed, but it will still basically be the same game. You can't really develop solid balance in a game like this during the beta phase, it will take years after the game ships, so I doubt much will change drastically. It's like making the rich richer and leaving the poor in fucking squallor. I don't think this is even ground. Assuming that all the best foreigners are smart individuals, which they most likely are, they will continue to be months ahead of everyone when the game is released. How can people say, "Oh, everything will even out." Frankly I think this is bullshit. This beta just makes it that much harder for "decent" players to even approach the level of the top foreigners. The reality of beta is that it is a head start on everyone else. Yes we have livestreams and everything, which is great, but you can only learn so much while never having played the game... it's purely theoretical. I hate beta. /rant /rage FML | ||
