Same problem here, when I jump to some of the older files it works no problem, but the latest ones just bail out on me. Hope it's fixed soon, last nights episode seems to have been a blast.

Funday Monday suggestion (I know it'll be a while until the next one, but)
You must announce your starting location, race (if random), and any buildings you are producing as you build them.
Basically, just revealing your tech path to the opponent.

"Utilize marijuana" So I take it you don't partake of the reefer then?
Seriously though, no need to be a dick man, I agree with you but not everybody watches the pre-show and shiv never claimed someone "needed pot" to be creative. Day[9] did have bloodshot eyes and frankly, after the micro explanation and his reaction to it I would of thought he was high if I hadn't heard him say he doesn't smoke pot a while back.

You guys do know that sleep deprivation can be pretty hilarious right? I know I start laughing for no reason about 3am =P

I never said I didn't. And if you honestly haven't experienced euphoric moments of incredible laughter and giddiness while sober... well, that sucks brohan.
Being a dick? No, just honest. To suggest Sean needs to be high to be his awesome self is insulting to his personality, as if he couldn't get there without it.
In this day and age, people are just so quick to jump to conclusions when they run into someone who acts a little bit different. It's sad, really.

No one said Day[9] needs weed to be funny. Or even that it made him funny. And I wouldn't call the meltdown of a failed joke about micro a "euphoric moment of incredible laughter." Whether high or sleep deprived, it was slightly odd and a little concerning to watch (kind of like Idra's gg last weekend). Yet still kind of funny (also like Idra's gg last weekend).
Furthermore, I'm not sure if adding a little stoner culture into eSports would alienate or narrow the movement. Not that anyone here even remotely called Day[9] a stoner, shiv just said he seemed stoned (or "I love me some stoned Day[9]," to be exact). No one claimed he smokes before every show, or he totally won't be funny; Day[9] has admitted to needing coffee to be funny though, which is a serious addiction
I think what would really hurt eSports is judgmental people chastising anyone who makes a playful reference to a eSports figure seeming to reveal a slightly alternative activity (not very alternative at all in Cali, actually. Just walk into a park in someone will offer you weed...or just go the doctor and get a card). So please, step off your high (no pun intended) pedestal and try not to give others pain over the judgmental rod crammed up your ass.

Would you mind making a daily about micro? Me and my friends have some problems with, for example, sentries or ghosts and other spellcasters. Or even micro in MMM battles. (If there is such a thing) It would be great just to see how you approach certain situations with certain groups of units and what specific mechanics are needed for microing.

Hey. Day9 started to play monobattles with subscribers, I did subscribe and I'm gonna keep doing that. However I'm from EU and I think there are many subscribers from EU as well.
Is there any chance that there will be some monobattles on EU realm? Or it's NA exclusive? =)

<3 I had so much fun monobattling with you Day9. Even though I died, I hope I died in a spectacular fashion. Queen+Spine Crawler for life!

Hi Day[9],
I have a request for a Newbie Tuesday daily. Your dailies on mechanics have helped me a ton, as I love to get my basics right. However, I feel like there's one section of the basics you haven't covered yet: settings.
Some of the settings have quite a large impact on gameplay, and many newbies don't know about them. Healthbars being the prime example. While I figured out that one on my own, it took me a long time to figure out what some of the other settings do (Command Hotkey Text, Flyer Helper, Reduce mouse lag). Some of those might prove helpful, but are disabled by default.
Then there's other settings, not found in the settings menu. One example is the Minimap Terrain toggle, and the Minimap Player Colors toggle. Since you teach us to worship the minimap, I am sure people are interested in knowing about these features. Some people might consider playing with minimap terrain off, or you might tell us why that's a bad idea.
The last thing you could cover in this daily is custom hotkeys. I know you do not use many custom hotkeys, since you are used to the SC:BW layout. However, many newer players might find great benefit in reassigning their hotkeys. You know how Ctrl+8 is so damn hard to press? Remapping these hotkeys to easier to reach keys (I use 12345QWERT for control groups) might encourage players to make more use of control groups!
It took me hours of surfing the web to make up my mind on the above issues, and I'm sure a lot of newer players would appreciate it to have all this information handy in one place. And what place better than at the Day[9] daily, where we learn to be a better gamer?
I would love for you to consider my idea, and would appreciate it if you could let me know if this is a good or a bad idea for a daily.

Just a quick question.
I am having trouble watching the podcasts since Mr 9 got his wonderful new computer. I am wondering whether the files are in a higher resolution that my crappy gfx card can't handle. I get sound perfectly but the frame updates once every 5 or so seconds. It does produce some interesting snapshots but makes it impossible to watch the daily. I get the casts from iTunes if that means anything.
I can't watch it live due to the time difference and would much rather prefer the casts by themselves than having to watch the streamed versions. Aussie interent is crappy at best.
In short, has anyone else had this problem? A solution would be really appreciated.

Sorry if I have offended you by any means, I certainly was not going after that. I myself don't even do weed on a regular basis, I just figured, his eyes were pretty darn red, he cracked up in laughter after rather random stuff... What are the odds? Of course he stated he didn't do any of it, I'd do the same if I aimed to be an ambassador for the whole eSports community. Anyhow, I should have put my point in a more notional or speculative way.
By the way, I don't think there was any need to be as personal as you were. Who are you to judge wether I can have a good time with or without drugs?

I have no problem watching the HD videos (I personally download them from blip.tv), but I know that there were "Blip SD" (640x360) versions for some of the previous dailies. For the last dailies, this version has disappeared.
+ Show Spoiler [Example] +Extract of http://blip.tv/rss/4897694 (RSS feed of "Finals Game 1 - Tyler vs Haypro Day9 & Husky Dual Cast")<media:content blip:acodec="ffaac" blip:role=" Source" blip:vcodec="ffh264" expression="full" fileSize="339438105" height="720" isDefault="true" type="video/mp4" url="http://blip.tv/file/get/Striderdoom-FinalsGame1TylerVsHayproDay9HuskyDualCast858.mp4" width="1280" >[...] </ media:content> <media:content blip:acodec="ffaac" blip:role=" Blip SD" blip:vcodec="ffh264" expression="full" fileSize="109882437" height="360" isDefault="false" type="video/x-m4v" url="http://blip.tv/file/get/Striderdoom-FinalsGame1TylerVsHayproDay9HuskyDualCast697.m4v" width="640" /><media:content blip:acodec="ffaac" blip:role=" Blip HD 720" blip:vcodec="ffh264" expression="full" fileSize="294248899" height="720" isDefault="false" type="video/x-m4v" url="http://blip.tv/file/get/Striderdoom-FinalsGame1TylerVsHayproDay9HuskyDualCast652.m4v" width="1280" />
Edit: I just checked http://blip.tv/day9tv/rss (RSS feed for the last 100 videos on day9tv.blip.tv): When the source is an avi, a mov or a mp4, a "Blip SD" version is generated. When the source is a flv file, there is no "Blip SD" version generated (except for 2 videos). Maybe blip.tv has some troubles with the flv format?

Thanks mate. I will try blip downloads to check whether it is an iTunes thing.
I have previously watched the HD versions fine, just since the new setup I have been having these problems. It is so annoying to hear things perfectly with random images appearing on screen. Nothing has changed on my end so I figure it must have something to do with the new coding, will check and see.
Thanks again.
