I have visited TL almost every day for 2 years, paid 20$ for Liquid Rising, but I can't participate to this raffle because I didn't fill the live report threads with "terran op lol" -posts? Damn shame. Edit: And yeah, happy birthday TL! Awesome site. Same deal here (apart from paying for the doc). Disappointed I can't enter, really want a beta key, and I do definitely feel like I'm part of the community, I just very rarely post unless I have something that I feel is worth posting ![]()

There are a lot of us who have been on this site for a long time and have consistently visited every day but do not really post too frequently. Why? That's just the kind of people that we are, only choosing to drop a constructive post every now and then but not posting avidly. We still read, we still watch, we still are very much a part of this site and this community. Denying us a chance and instead letting people who have accumulated 500 posts with one-liners in Blogs participate? It just does not seem fair. My suggestion? Add an alternate requirement that is based on the amount of time that your account has been registered with the site. I think 1 year or possibly even 6 months would be a solid benchmark. I agree. The amount of posts also doesn't say anything about the quality. Do we really want to support someone who has only spamed?

P.S. I voted for 6 months in the poll below even though I haven't been registered for that long. But I think that's the most fair option.

Poll: Should TL introduce an alternate requirement? No. People who don't post do not contribute. (13) Yes. 1 year registered. (12) Yes. 2 years registered. (5) Yes. 6 months registered. (1) Yes. 1 month registered. (0) Lower post requirement to 250. (0) Lower post requirement to 100. (0) 31 total votes Your vote: Should TL introduce an alternate requirement? (Vote): No. People who don't post do not contribute. Not sure if this is allowed or not and hopefully mods don't rage at me for this but I just feel that I would be a representative of the people here since nearly every post in this thread deals with this topic. Could this be bad? Yes, people who do not fit the requirement would obviously want a chance at the beta key. Could this be constructive? Perhaps the staff could be persuaded to change their minds.

I hope you will bring the quality threads, posts, previews and all things that make you shine out as a top tier SC2 site. But please, why do you put a 500-post restriction on being able to qualify for the raffle? I don't understand this at all. It seems silly, because many of us (read this thread) don't have a lot of posts, but come by everyday and only post if it is something which interests them or post when the feel they could add to the discussion. I don't like this restriction, I'd rather have it be something like "you must have been a member for over a year" or "you must have visited this site on more than 500 occasions", that would make much more sense to me. Please TL, don't add to all the spamming for posts by putting these requirements...

I justed stated that there is the possibility that this is the case. I obviously don't call everyone a spamer who has more post than me...

He is just saying that the amount of posts doesn't show one's quality of post and contribution to the community. You posted 2k+ posts in less than a year. Did you make quality post? I'm sure you did. Did you have any spam "filler" posts? You probably did too. His whole point is that the current system has its flaw, no need to get defensive there...

Lurkers who read daily but don't post make a good point by stating they chronologically are just as invested in this website and feel like a part of the community like everyone else, but for those of us who are here and also post our thoughts, while we may be a part of your community, you aren't a part of "our community".
