I understand and agree the registertime because this way you can really do something for the people who supported you over the years but since SC2 the amount of visitors has exploded and that makes it extremely difficult for a lot of people to reach a high postcount. TL always advocates they want quality posts and no "1st" "+1" "terran OP" and other spam like that. A lot of people means also a lot of them will post in a thread before you and in most discussions I find it useless to give my opinion because by the time I'm reading the OP my opinion has been already voiced several times. So in those threads I confine myself to only reading and trying to skip over the posts that reflect the exact same points of view. Repeating the exact same things as other posters is not helping the discussion imo and only makes a thread harder/boring to follow imo. Anyway happy birthday TL. I'll pop open the champaign. Nazgul you're welcome to celebrate ![]()

"the 3 internet trolls have spoken" Just because I dont write "Zerg op! lol" in livethreads and other pointless posts (before this raffle). Penalizing people that think before they hit the post button is just weird, why not add a time length that you have to be registered for a certain amount of time instead? Now if you excuse me Im going to post some more Go Terran stuff in random threads.

+ Show Spoiler + On September 23 2012 06:06 tuoli9 wrote: why the 500 post requirement... I have visited TL almost every day for 2 years, paid 20$ for Liquid Rising, but I can't participate to this raffle because I didn't fill the live report threads with "terran op lol" -posts? Damn shame. Edit: And yeah, happy birthday TL! Awesome site. Not so much as "rewarding the wrong people", because number of posts, specifically in TeamLiquid with the high quality moderation, seems fair; but what I think is wrong about that rule is that it is a black and white, binary, one-time only evaluation process that tries but isn't in any way promoting user participation. If the idea is to encourage people to be more active and generate more engagement, TL should be trying to use such prizes on developing these over time, not imposing such arbitrary statistical rules. Of course it takes much more effort and time, but look how Valve was giving away Dota2 keys: they encouraged you to answer pools, contributing content, spreading the word, etc. The "500 posts" rule seems much more like a reminiscent of a [sorry the harsh criticism] elitist community that rewards older [posting] members. Yeah, by judging from my number of posts, it's very apparent that I felt excluded and it motivated me to write about it. But on the other hand, I myself am just like tuoli9, I've been reading TL since what, I think 2004~2005, never registered an account. If there was an incentive to write good quality blogs, contribute to liquipedia, write about HotS, produce a funny artwork; whatever, I'd think about participating. But with the "X posts" rule, I'm not encouraged to post any more than I was before. Also let me be clear that I'm not the kind of people that just wants an organization to do my wishes. I think this was a business opportunity that in my opinion was lost. Anyway, congrats TL. You do an amazing job, it's a great community and I'm always proud to tell anyone in every other community that this one is so developed, mature and I was watching it grow with immense hopes. Thanks TL!
