Its feasible they have at least 3 accounts for each region.

Agreed, it's just common sense that people who play a lot and in 1v1 (the only mode being tested at the moment) should get it over people who rarely play and mostly play 4v4. Same thing happened in Diablo 3, tonnes of accounts got the beta without even playing it once. Waste of time and effort. Although it continues to build hype, so that's why Blizzard do it.

i mean... the whole purpose of the beta is to balance the new units and to find bugs/test different computer configurations. they sent out 8000 beta keys in this wave and assuming they split them somewhat equal between the different regions there are roughly 1500-2000 keys for each. at least 300-400 keys should go to the top 300-400 players of each region who dont already have beta access to balance the new stuff as fast as possible and then there are still like 6000 keys for casual players etc. maybe im just missing something or im too biased.

I think we should be able to earn a beta key in wave three by playing a certain amount of games by next week or being top 10 in masters or ANYTHING that is a reachable goal I think it is ridiculous to just have to hope you get in randomly it would be nice to be able to earn a key by working hard to get it http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/6606780622

And they don't just want the best of the best to test it. They take who they take because it's who they feel like they need.

The real problem is some people don't deserve an invite at all.

Agreed, it's not that I feel entitled to a key, it's just I feel I deserve one much more than people playing against incontrol on his stream that don't even know what warpgate is. I mean how do those people even get in?

1.) Get Feedback from players. 2.) Configure the game regarding hardware/system requirements. If someone has a system configuration Blizzard wants to test HOTS on they give this person a key. That´s what I think. It would make sense because balance is one thing but it´s much more important that HOTS runs smoothly on all systems. Imagine the shitstorm when HOTS wouldn´t work on Intel CPU for example. That´s much worse then a badly balanced game. They can implement and rewrite parts of the source code in order to increase the performance on HOTS when they see problems on certain systems. It doesn´t matter if you think that someone deserves it or not. That´s not the purpose of the Beta. If you have what Blizzard wants you get a key and if you don´t you don´t get one.

You assume balance is the only purpose of a beta test.
