It could work, but it's risky Alternatively Diomande may be a Vini replacement if he does move on, which still seems a possibility Be interesting to see how it all develops anyway. If there was one spot Real didn’t really need strengthening in it’s in wide forwards given their current roster I don’t think of Trent as being a particularly ‘Mourinho player’ but perhaps he’ll go against type. Hope he does as Trent is capable of absolute magic at his best

It looks really weird. I don't think Real has addressed any of their major issues. Bernardo Silva is maybe good midfielder, but he's 31 and has somewhat dropped in form. Konate has been somewhat injury prone and it's hard to tell how much of a bounce back he'll get, especially if Real struggles to get going. The whole Vini-Mbabbe combination still feels like a huge mismatch in chemistry to me. Trent and Mou relationship is going to be interesting. As far as I can tell, at least the old Mou very much likes his stability and defensive consistency and Trent is the opposite of that.

so vini's agents were probably just using arsenal as leverage to get a new contract

I'm by no means an expert on PL, but for me even the weakest United and Spurs sides have had more recognizable identity and personalities in them. Meanwhile this Chelsea looks like some 90s video game where they've got a few player names and then random generated the rest. Maybe Xabi will figure things out and we'll know all the success stories by half season mark, but for now it's really hard to love or hate the roster, it's just so indifferent.

To some extend might be that, to some extend it's probably the subs not being up to par. At least in Bournemouth the Iraola system was also pretty high risk, so I can see games swinging around quite a bit, even more so when team is still figuring it out.

When does Sergio Ramos go to link back up with Messi in Miami, given they played together on PSG. Maybe Modric can also go and Messi is just making El Classico in a team after signing Casemiro

Its also gotta count a lot of asking him to make the phone call to the player. Messi got slapped when he traveled to St paul but I can imagine a lot of athletes have a bad image of MLS and don't want to take the team friendly deals to remain in the salary cap. Leagues cup remains the silliest competition on the globe. The loons go to an extremly bleak place after going down at the half, they sub off their striker and lead winger for their second team striker and winger. They then turn it around with the reserve player assisting twice and the backup winger scoreing to bring wonderwall back to the faithful.

sad to see it end this way - after their chairman died in that helicopter crash and covid effectively killing the ownership's parent company (king power - duty free at airports) it was inevitable.
