Given the current absurdity in the market, this seems like a very fair deal for us. Yeah. Time will maybe tell if Diomande was a better option, but obviously Real is a tough team to beat on these I'm still a bit worried about the spending so much on attacking players, but we'll see how it goes. Some internet comment said Barcola is good at bringing the ball up in transition and makes some smart runs behind the line too. Maybe this will unlock some more of Wirtz magic?

Barcola is more a run off the defender's shoulder and receive the ball in the final third type of player. I think he's very strong in the counter attack and hopefully our midfield can really do well to find him. I also think that he's just a better version of Gakpo if he plays on the left. Much better finisher, faster, cuts inside better, can play both sides of the pitch, and is relentless. If Gakpo decides to go to Spurs and we can get like 70-80m for him to compensate, we're basically paying 30m to update Gakpo to Barcola which is fantastic business. Isak, Wirtz, Anderson, Enzo, Rogers, Diomande, Tonali, Fernandes, Bouaddi. If Alvarez leaves Atletico, he'd go for well over 100m. It is what it is. I'd argue Barcola is better than over half this list, maybe even the best and given that we need new wingers to replace Salah, it's a very good player who can play both wings and has that directness that Iraola wants.
