That certainly makes Scotland vs Hungary way more exciting this evening. Hungary now really has something to play for despite their 0 pts, -4GD. And then surely they draw and break everyone's heart :D | ||

They’re just so desperate for some real quality up front and out wide, while they have 3 really good full backs. Liam Ferguson AKA Serie A midfielder of the year being injured was a big miss too. Look at what Wales managed a while back, where I’d say Scotland maybe overall have had stronger squads in recent times they don’t have a difference maker like a Ramsey never mind a Bale. They don’t need a Bale level player, always helps but even some forward players of good Premier League standard, of equivalence to a McGinn would go a long way Man pretty much since maybe 2002 the three nations I have some connection to (Irelands and Scotland) have been bloody ropey. Suppose one gets used to it Glad to hear the Hungarian player whose name escapes me is apparently recovering alright, that was a scary moment! | ||

Not giving a 70%+ chance for a goal in a generally low-scoring sport for a ball hitting somebody’s hand when it’s whacked in from a few metres away Give a penalty if it’s someone blocking a shot that would have been a goal by all means, or a blatant deliberate one. Luis Suarez versus Ghana would be a famous example that ticks both of those boxes If the difference between giving a penalty and a likely goal against a defender or, nothing is literally often just where on the body a ball hits, reviewed in slow motion after the fact, the balance doesn’t feel right at all While writing this HOLY SHIT ITALY WHAT DRAMA! | ||
