Griezmann might be a controversial character but he has been nothing but patriotic for the French national team. He plays every single match, plays all sorts of positions, runs like a madman always, never complains.
I dont think there ever has been someone more motivated as he was for a national team
I just noticed this.
I think it might be for just this reason, tbh. Griezmann isn't going to complain about not being made captain, he's gonna do his best anyway.
Mbappe however needs to feel special and might sulk if he's not number one.

As far as I can tell, Spurs have confirmed their Nagelsmann interest. Seems like a decent fit to me. Spurs get a more easily cooperative coach with good English communication, Nagelsmann gets to try his luck in a decent PL club. I don't think Nagelsmann is going to have much better openings unless Chelsea sack Potter over the summer or Klopp or Pep decide to leave or something.

Christ our national team sucks. It is still 0-0 vs El Salvador in the 2nd half. With a majority of possession we still can't score.

But why would any top coach go there now?
Mourinho complained the club was poorly run, conte the same. Pochetino also struggled before due to the board not being supportive on player acquisitions and not keeping up with the rest of the big 6.
Their star players will be one year older and again someone will have to make sure the kane situation goes alright.
Doesnt seem like an attractive position to me for a top coach. A good one for sure, for an unproven coach at the highest level.

My prediction is that
Ancelotti -> Brazil Nagelsmann -> Real Madrid Pochettino -> Spurs I agree with that statement, think Ancelotti to Brazil is like the worst kept secret ever in football lol. Have players like Rodrygo talking to Ancelotti at Real about the squad selections and picking a squad together, then he says this in an interview lol.
Naglesmann way to good for Spurs and he will want to wait until the Summer anyway to decide, Real would be silly not to try him out.
Poch just begging to return to Spurs and Levy never really wanted to sack him but felt he had no choice due to the form.

That group is a mess now though with Scotland 2/2 and Spain looking meh vs Norway then losing to Scotland lol

am i the only one who thinks poch to spurs is doubtful? if i were poch i would be afraid that a spurs return would solidify me as a b-tier coach (in the tier of someone like moyes).
he had a stint at a big club and it was considered a failure, then he remained unemployed for a long time in the hopes that another big club came calling. if he goes back to spurs now its kinda like an acceptance that hes not in the tier of the other big names

How lol? Georgia on away field is tough, spain away obviously toughest. Our main pundits were predicting 1 point from these two games, saying we should be reasonably happy with that. And our performance aside from squandering chances, which will presumably be less of a problem if we get haaland back has been great.
Even with Scotland taking a win against Spain, this group will boil down to how Scotland, Norway and Georgia do against each other. One game has been played and we got an unlucky draw on away field.
|
Well, everybody will expect Spain to make it and to be 5 points behind Scotland in that respect seems like a mountain to climb. Pretty tough group though, just like ours. Compare that to group C, E, G or I...

Scotland can easily draw vs Georgia and we can easily get 4 or even 6 points against them. Tbh we can even beat Spain on home field. Tons of possible scenarios. As usual, concluding anything after 25% of a competition is just silly.

Rodri complaining about Scotland players falling over is amusing
|
Wait... so the Spurs did not know this beforehand? Were they wanting him to take over on the field as well? So what happens to every player signed by him now?

Imagine a world where 1.FC cologne gets a transfer ban by FIFA when clubs like PSG, chelsea, Man City are kicking financial fair play in the guts every fucking year.....

Guess that's the difference between an amateur criminal and a professional criminal. Amateur gets caught and gets big jail time. Professionals weasel out or pay off
