Dropping out of the Europa League means you only have one tournament to worry about. Can play your best 11 almost every game. Man City will put all their resources into the Champions League. If you can nab a draw at the Etihad, it's in the bag.

just saw contes press conference and it is hilarious. the guy did not hold back in talking shit about the players and the club. its so refreshing to see and although he might not bring results as expected, hes at least doing something like what rangnick did at united; cutting through all the bullshit and and laying out the facts.

Mitrovic with the most stupid red card I've seen this season

I don't think I've seen a more dramatic 5-10 minutes of football in a long time.

I wasn't expecting just now good he would be

Sevilla are apparently sacking Sampaoli so I expect us to get the new manager bounce out.

Crystal Palace have brought Roy Hodgson back in until the end of the season.
Roy Hodgson has been appointed manager of Crystal Palace F.C. until the end of the season, with Paddy McCarthy taking the role as his assistant manager, and Ray Lewington returning as first-team coach. Dean Kiely will remain in his position as goalkeeping coach.
Chairman Steve Parish said: “I would like to welcome Roy and Ray back to the club. We are obviously in a very challenging period but we believe that Roy’s and Ray’s experience, knowledge of the club and players, alongside Paddy can help fulfil the immediate requirement of keeping us in the league.”
Roy Hodgson commented: “It is a privilege to be asked to return to the club, which has always meant so much to me, and to be given the important task of turning the team’s fortunes around. Our sole objective now is to start winning matches, and to get the points necessary to ensure our Premier League status. Crystal Palace official announcement

thats such a bad decision

With 8 teams in the relegation battle in PL, some teams are probably going to hit the panic button. I'm a bit surprised Rodgers is still managing Leicester. You'd expect them to be contesting Europe, not fighting relegation.

Bayern: Nagelsmann out, Tuchel in
(according to kicker, but they are quite reliable in those cases usually)

nagelsmann sacked by bayern wow
|
No surprise, Bayern are super ruthless when the league title is threatened
|
lol Bayern
Nagelsmann apparently was on vacation, only informed through media that he was sacked. No direct contact beforehand. What an absolute asshole move.
|
I have always considered Tuchel the German Guardiola - I cant see how he can work with Bayern bosses long-term.
Tuchel is totally a short-term solution and firing Nagelsmann goes against everything they had planned with him. Bayern even paid tons of money to get Nagelsmann
|
Have Bayern themselves actually confirmed the sacking yet? I'm seeing a lot of "sources have said it happened" but no actual media release from the club or Nagelsmann himself
