"You will play less than 30 minutes for a while, so we don't have to buy you next summer." - is not the best motivational speech at the start of the season. I'd hate to be defending against that setup. First there's a guy who knows exactly how to budget energy for 60 minutes and then the rest of the game you're playing against a well rested Griezmann who needs to make a strong showing for the summer contract negotations.

That would be amazing for him. I was thinking Bournemouth is as good as it's going to get as first PL contract for anyone coming from outside the top 5 leagues or so, excluding the club legend deals and such.

i'm not living in the uk but i agree it's a complete joke - especially given the fact the world cup has already congested fixtures as it is. also those tv contracts, people traveling etc

The more I read about Tuchel leaving Chelsea the more I am happy for him that he doesn't have to deal with that club anymore.

Multiple shopping outlets all closed today, but will be open for the weekend. The premier league took this decision, not the government btw.

I heard that the FA were worried about a public display of lack of respect for the Queen from fans. I suppose if Liverpool were at home they have a point. Their fans famously hate the royal family.

They were 2-0 ahead at home, I assume it's a pretty comfortable position and there's no particular need to bring in extra firepower. Looks like they've decided to have the 60-30 split every game regardless of how the game at hand is going.

I am pretty sure he is unhappy enough with the current situation but if you dont even give him the 30min he will prolly sulk and no club wants a sulky player in their ranks

I wonder if it’s a case of Athletico not thinking the deal is currently value for money, or if they just outright can’t afford it
