I ended up watching some of the Espanyol - Real Madrid yesterday. A pretty even game, Real maybe a bit better on the bits I watched, but Espanyol definitely had their moments too. The game is looking like a pretty nice 1-1, I don't think either team can complain too much about that.
Then, somewhere at 88 minutes, Rodrygo crosses to the back post, Benzema with great anticipation, movement and technique pokes it in from a bit tricky looking ball easily. A couple of minutes later it's 1-3 for Real and Espanyol being down a man.
THEY CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS EVERY TIME.

(That one is kinda absurd for Norway - in modern times, our second best average goal per game is Solskjær with 0.34.)
For club teams he's at 17 goals in 16 league games for Salzburg, 62 goals in 68 league games for Dortmund, and 23 goals in 19 appearances in the Champions league.
Injuries are indeed a question mark - but if you've watched City squander chance after chance last season and you've watched any amount of Haaland these past years, his start with City shouldn't be much of a surprise to anyone. Those stats for the national team are absurd for any national team let alone Norway. Anyone who thinks he's not good enough for the Premier League has to be blind.

Haaland's only question mark is if his body can hold up.
Pretty sure you were one of the more sceptical in that regard since Premier League is the best league and so on xD But I maybe totally wrong.
After the Bayern vs Gladbach game and rumors go wild about Yann Sommer ( 1 year contract left) Sommer made a total of 19 saves against Munich. Bundesliga record! Crazy game.

I’m surprised Sommer has remained in situ, or at least without high profile interest that I’m aware of for so long. Clearly a very capable keeper

Forest have just signed Brazilian international lb Lodi from Athletico. Its been an insane transfer window for us. I think it might be too much, buying 3 left backs to compete for one spot in one window lol.

Pande actually wrote about Haaland that City will dominate if they get him (and he doesn't get injured).

Was intrigued to read Rodri "bash" him a bit in the papers the other day though, saying Haaland needs to move more and contribute more. Guy has scored 6 goals in 4 games while "learning" the new system, think thats pretty insane lol.

Bournemouth have sacked Scott Parker. By the sound of things primarily for publicly disagreeing with recruitment strategy.
AFC Bournemouth can announce that the club has parted company with head coach Scott Parker.
Maxim Demin said: “I would like to place on record my gratitude to Scott and his team for their efforts during their time with us. Our promotion back to the Premier League last season under his tenure will always be remembered as one of the most successful seasons in our history.
“However, in order for us to keep progressing as a team and a Club as a whole, it is unconditional that we are aligned in our strategy to run the club sustainably. We must also show belief in and respect for one another. That is the approach that has brought this club so much success in recent history, and one that we will not veer from now. Our search for a new head coach will begin immediately.”
Gary O’Neil will take interim charge of the team, and will be assisted by Shaun Cooper and Tommy Elphick. Bournemouth official statement

Bournemouth fans will be happy anyway, even though he got them promoted i get the feeling he was not a well liked man down there.

I guess if you spend all your airtime talking shit about your own team and board they are eventually going to get sick of you. Still didn't expect this so soon.
At least the next manager won't have to play Man City, Arsenal or Liverpool for a while
|
Anyone you'd like to see taking over? I think Rooney is committed to D.C United, so I guess he's not an option.
As far as I can tell, Nuno is in Saudi Arabia, probably cashing a nice paycheck at the moment. I wonder if he's still got ambition and some kind of exit strategy clause in his contract.

I disagree. There were some incredible saves in there and for some he had excellent positioning, making it look easy.

time for bournemouth to see some dyche ball?
|
Good signing? cause I could sworn that everything Ajax touches dies at least according to TL.
|
terrible signing. hes just straight up not worth that amount and the fact that its taken this long to get him just reeks of desperation. also theres the problem that if martial is fit then antony doesnt start anyway. if martial isnt fit then he will play some games wide with rashford in the middle, or he will remain on the bench with cr7 in the middle. id like to be proven wrong but i think this could be a vdb 2.0

Yeah, apparently Dyche is a pretty clear cut betting favorite. Not a bad shout at all.
Chris Wilder is currently 2nd favorite in bets. He's still managing Middlesborough though, so I think Dyche is the safer bet by far.
