He was one of the main reasons Argentina won the WC Liverpool I believe triggered his buyout clause and he was happy to go there, I guess others could have tried.
But I guess there’s an obvious need for him in Liverpool, and he wants to make that move upwards. Seems a move that really suits both parties

Seems a move that really suits both parties MacAllister was in the last year of his contract in 22/23 and the only reason he signed the new contract with Brighton was because of the favourable release clause. both parties knew he was going to be leaving and it made sure Brighton got something for him in return.

It's a personal shame that Bellingham won't be in the premiership but I think it is a good move for him and it might be good for England to have players with experience in other leagues.

You know i havent criticised pep all season and there is a reason for that. He realised his style of football can be very dangerous to concede goals and if he plays it too cautiously he wont create enough chances.
But this season he keeps playing four centre backs and it has worked wonders since everyone else are deadly players who can focus on moving forward. He actually solved his own problem and has to be given props for that.
He also has no problem giving opposition the ball if this favours his team to win the game. Hes become a very pragmatic coach

Is that with or without the revenue sharing deal with Apple and Adidas?

Never gonna cheer for city but in a way I also think they're way overdue for a cl win. From my pov there's no question they've been Europe's overall best team for the past 5 years and I kinda feel they should get the trophy to prove it.

Last season it was clearly Liverpool who was the best team for the last few years and one year later its city without question? Memories are indeed short...

My thoughts and a considerable silver lining to my boys losing!
Well not considerable but I like to think of myself as a neutral of certain taste, with an appreciation of quality and expertise.
Inter win and my boys win, City win and the team I’ve considered on aggregate Europe’s best the past 5 years gets that title. And a small portion of the folks calling Guardiola a ‘bald fraud’ look a bit silly

Did I write that? Cuz I've been of the opinion that while Liverpool has had a top level that matches city's top level, they've been less consistent.
Anyway if you look at the pl table for the past 5 seasons you get a Liverpool with a total 420 points, (Nice) and city with 447 points. Swap this season with 17/18 and it is much the same, as 17/18 was city's 100 point season. Imo the league does a better job showing which team is better than a knockout tournament, so Liverpool having a cl win isn't really a factor to me, not compared to city having 5 of the previous 6 league titles anyway.
It's reasonably close though, a case can me made for pool being the best team in 18/19 and 19/20, but they've also had two sub-70 points domestic seasons, while city has 81 as their lowest point tally since 16/17. Bayern, not RM, would be the final team in my top 3.

Liverpool have been bloody fantastic at times
In the heat of a season, wow what a side, going toe to toe with City, pushing for that Quadruple albeit falling short.
But over a 5 year span, Liverpool have to be playing out of their minds to keep in touch just with City’s ‘regular’ level, so I’d place City ahead overall

I have no problem saying city is overall better than Liverpool but saying they are the best without question is such a joke and disrespect to Liverpool.
The only reason Liverpool had dropoffs and City didnt is solely on squad depth. City's bench on its own is a world class starting eleven. Liverpool dont have that luxury.
Liverpools best has also been better than City's best. Its just that no 11 can keep the same level for a whole season, you need rotation

Squad depth is obviously part of overall team strength. If you wanna argue that Liverpool's peak 11 of the past 5 years was better than city's peak 11 of the same period that's fine, I'm not necessarily disagreeing with that, but it doesn't change my overall point.
Tbh only way I'm gonna be swayed is if you can demonstrate that Liverpool outperformed city in other tourneys more than city outperformed Liverpool in the league. Otherwise it is both close and no question about it at the same time.

You both are discussing which team is better when its clearlly which team has more money to get better depth on the bench....
Also, doesn't matter who wins today, Man City will never be a champion due to fincial fair play violations.

Ederson looking a bit shaky, twice.

Ah he will be fine if he has a save or two. Inter playing better than I expected so far!

Yep, not conceding any chances the first 24 min, that is very solid against this city.
