That Thiago goal was really a thing of beauty.
From what I understand Poch hasn’t just got egos in the dressing room to contend with, but Leanardo as sporting director too and that’s not a smooth relationship.
Whether he goes or not is another thing.
Wow Dortmund out too, Haaland’s injury has been pretty badly timed between them and Norway losing out on a World Cup playoff

If United really appoint Rangnick they now have a very good manager. The question will be if their dressing room divas accept him.

We cant be PSG-lite. I sure hope the players will accept it
It is a surprising astute move from the Utd board. Maybe Woodward wants to burnish his credentials before leaving

I don’t know if it’s their plan, but Ragnick seems to be more content in working behind the scenes these days, and he’s regarded to be pretty good at it.
Him as interim, then he moves upstairs into some director of football role and a Pochetino comes in as permanent coach?
That could be inspired, they could fill their obvious lack of some kind of clued-in football man up at the board level, get some cover for 6 months and have a setup more appealing to top coaching talent.

I predict that Ragnick does good enough to get a longer contract, then in the middle of next season he will get fired after lackluster results.

Ralph has always been highly sort after by Chelsea hierarchy, but he never wanted to manage, as he gets too stressed out from it and prefers the technical role upstairs. Very good appointment from Yanited, 6 months of him coaching into him being director of football for 2 years after which is perfect for actually getting a basis for them to go on.

can't believe they actually are going to do it. probably the most sensible move they've made in the post-fergie era.

Yeah i didn't think they would do this "kind of" interim, i thought legit would just be like Carrick plus 1 until end of season unless some sort of Yanited legend came in like Scholes plus Neville for example. This is by far the best outcome and now if Poch comes in the summer he has someone like Ralph to work with who im sure they would get on really well unlike the toxic Leonardo at PSG and the crazy egos he has to control there, he just has Ronaldo at Yanited xD

I don't think CR7 is nearly as egomaniac as Mbappe or Neymar. His workethic and professionalism is off the charts from what I've read about him

With Ralf Ragning joining the premier league can we now say that european football has entered the era of german style dominated football coaching at the highest level? Has there ever been an era where so many top level german coaches have dominated this much that last 60 years?

Portuguese media says Zidane is on his way to PSG? did i miss the firing of poch?

These european world cup playoffs are ridiculous.
|
Depends on your point of view :D I like this draw to be honest
So what we got:
Scotland - Ukraine Wales - Austria
Russia - Poland Sweden - Czech Republic
Italy - Nothern Macedonia Portugal - Turkey
|
Italy, Portugal, Turkey -> only one will advance... This is gonna be fun!
|
Think Portugal is the safe bet to advance.

Actually ridiculous lol. Ronaldo or European Champions will not make the world cup over teams like;
Scotland - Ukraine Wales - Austria
Russia - Poland Sweden - Czech Republic
I mean wow xD

Why is that ridiculous? Both failed and got what they deserved. But I agree, getting both in the same bracket is kinda nuts. The other brackets looks balanced to some degree

I mean wow xD Both had the same chance to qualify via the standard groups. It's not these countries fault they are as bad as them

This the first qualifier i can remember for a world cup in Europe which doesn't allow top two from each group to automatically qualify right?
Yes i agree they both messed up getting to this point in the first place, but still the hell is the drawing system to "allow" per se the ranked 6th and 8th team in same "bracket" xD
