Not that I personally like any of that though. spanish clubs only offered money. theyve never allowed players to have decision making power regarding the entire team. no club has in the history of football. Not Messi? Maybe not explicitly in his contract like this but surely in practice

There were some rumors of Zidane going to PSG, but the current top post of soccer reddit seems to rule that one out. I could have seem him having authority to go there and do well. Now that he has been ruled out, I have no idea who can go there and expect to have proper control over things.
Maybe Deschamps quits the French NT early?

You wouldn't quit the national team job before a world cup though would you, when its so close.
I think Poch stays he said before the game "me and mbappe will be here next season" and he got the Mbappe staying right lol
Mbappe cannot be worse than Leonardo as well right so xd

Not Messi? Maybe not explicitly in his contract like this but surely in practice its normal for good players to have an influence. messi is the goat and probably had a little more influence than usual but its an important distinction whether that influence is official or not. there are stories about ronaldos presence affecting dressing room harmony at united for the same reason. when youre good you earn respect and influence and that still doesnt extend to doing the managers job. mbappes situation is just unprecedented and completely undeserved.

Good Lord city winning the league losing at home as it stands, Wolves had chances and City not had a shot on target!
Leeds safe as it stands drawing 0-0 while Burnley looking very bad and losing 1-0 at home to Newcastle.

From what I understood so far though, the outrage (in spain, but also elsewhere) was almost exclusively about the financial side of the deal, with the "power to make decisions" aspect being only an afterthought.

holy shit what a comeback lol. 3 goals in 5 minutes. If only Liverpool can win too so it actually becomes impactful. xD (and there we got that goal)

And meanwhile Burnley and Brentford have both scored, making the relegation race super exciting too. (1 more goal for either of those and Leeds are going down.)

I am so amused that people actually thought city was not going to win the league XD I was chuckling when it was 0-2 Aston Villa because I won easy money betting on city win then

so glad this season is over. by some miracle we still end up in europe thanks to west ham.

Nutty end to season!!!
Thank god Scouse didn't get that title i was so pissed at 0-2 and 1-1 lol. Allison did make some huge saves but still what on earth.
Scouse also now struggling with Thiago and Fabinho injuries before final next week. Van dijk and Salah look fine for it though but still, losing midfield battle is not good vs Real
|
Leeds' escape from relegation is the real headline of today imo!
|
not quite as dramatic but citys win is kind of like 2012 with the aguero goal. came back to win the title on a 3-2 score on the last match
|
AC Milan 3-0 up at half time. Giroud with a double
Porto 1-0 up at half time of the Portuguese cup as well.
|
AC Milan are champions of Italy again after 11 years! Giroud adds Serie A to his French title and World Cup, Kessie bows out with a title too.
|
Well Man City's win has now been overshadowed by City fans attacking Villa players on the pitch...
edit: As well as Fans apparently, with flares ffs.
