There was a second invasion at full-time when Vieira had a confrontation with a fan. In other matches, Billy Sharp was assaulted and Swindon players were physically abused by Port Vale fans. I'm sure there have been more incidents too. The Leicester fan running on and actually punching a player after a goal springs to mind. Crowd behavior has been really bad in England since covid restrictions ended and the masses were unleashed.

Midgame pitch invasion sounds like something that should be punished heavily. The end of the season invasions are already kind of risky and problematic in many ways, but at least they're sort of predictable and don't have influence on the game at hand.
Meanwhile pitch invasion based on game events is asking for trouble. It may influence the match, there's very little control on how and when it goes off and so on. If there's for example some kind of altercation happening on the pitch already, the last thing you need is the risk of crowd joining in to escalate the thing.

didn't everton experience pitch invasions earlier in the season? the guy tying himself to the goal posts come to mind.
sounds like a ground security issue more than a league issue.

wth is this news about mbappe being offered power to change managers and players on top of huge amounts of money? what a fking joke of a club psg is.

Apparently his mother negotiated with both clubs at the same time without telling the either seesh
Why are some parents of players so toxic?
|
Isn't this directly against Financial fair play? Also watch it rip apart the club so he can get more play time.

Have PSG not learned their lessons?
That’s insane, a slew of top coaches have struggled time and time again with egos and an unbalanced squad, now you’re actually giving players a say in the running of the club?

surely ligue 1 has to step in and say they wouldnt allow such a contract. what a farce

To be fair to PSG if they get rid of Leonardo they have half a chance cuz that guy HAS NO FUCKING IDEA.
But yeah offering him all that at his age regardless of how good he is crazy. The fuck Neymar going to think and Messi xD

300 million sigining bonus would be insane. There's no risk management whatsoever in that, it's 300 million even after a big injury or decision to focus on golfing hobby.

Even more egregious than Messi's Barca contract was and that is saying something

So is this confirmed news? I love it. Financial fairplay as it is now is a joke either way. With contracts like this they are forced to actually make some strict and equal financial fair play rules for all leagues that play in EU leagues. About time

Can't even laugh at this...

I find it quite ironic/hypocritic that it's the spanish liga/clubs that are complaining now. Weren't they doing similar stuff some years ago? It's only now that it's unacceptable, when they are the ones who are on the receiving end of someone else having more money and not caring about financial "fair" play.
Not that I personally like any of that though.

Not that I personally like any of that though. spanish clubs only offered money. theyve never allowed players to have decision making power regarding the entire team. no club has in the history of football.

While I totally agree that this is ridicilous that its happening you also need to consider that in the history of football almost always the clubs had the superior positions... And just like in the normal working world things are changing, now employees have much more power because there is less supply and more demand on highly qualified people.
Things needed to change, just in mbappes case its a horrible change

theres also stories of poch being sacked during the off season. wrong time to sack him imo but if they did, who in their right mind would want to go to psg if mbappes contract goes through? youre the manager and youre forced to have your nose up mbappes ass the whole time youre there.
