With what is going on in the NBA, I think the NFL needs to adjust COVID protocols before the playoffs start, otherwise there is a very high chance several games will be decided by a team missing half their starters.

lack of faith in their current qb and they knew that rodgers will probably drive to win in OT either way

the exact same situation happened to them a couple of weeks ago against the steelers - they were depleted on defense so they had to end it then rather than going to OT.

Ravens have a depleted roster with tons of injuries, especially in the secondary on defense. Lack of players in the secondary is also the primary reason they did the same thing against the Steelers.

It's funny cuz way back in the 2012 playoffs against Denver I was screaming at them to go for 2 after the Jacoby TD at the end of regulation. Like there's no way they're beating Peyton in OT on the road in the playoffs. I was so, so wrong.

That is what I don't understand about it. When Baltimore score that first TD they could go for two and if it succeeds they can kick the extra point on the second to win, but if they fail the first they know they must try for two the second time to send the game into OT.

I can see arguments on both sides for whether or not to go for two after scoring to be down by 1 but there is no logic behind kicking the extra point first and then going for two. It was a very bad decision.

What I dislike about Bal going for 2 against GB is that GB had 42 secs and a TO left, Bal aren't winning the game outright there even if they make the 2. If you make the 2 then GB have to aggressively pursue a game winning field goal, which I'd reckon they have at least a 20% chance of getting. If you make the 1 and tie it up then GB will be more conservative and likely settle for OT (rather than using all 4 downs to chase a field goal).

Way to few people making this point. You don't want to face that offense when its only in need of a FG and they are in 100% 4 down scenario.

FG drive with 42 seconds left is a pretty decent scenario in today's NFL. Mason Crosby can be occasionally shaky however.

It is even easier if the shoe was on the other foot. Teams start at the 25 after a touchback. Gain 25 yards and the Ravens are already in Tucker's range.
