The City one was worse cos the rules say penalty but everyone in the world thinks no pen. The Liverpool pen was just a reffing mistake. Walker tripped mane - you saw it in his reaction... Liverpool only had the ball because someone did the exact same thing to Sterling just before at the other end. Literally two identical incidents, the only difference is that Sterling didn't immediately go down as if shot.
I'm not disputing the foul, I just think it should also be a foul when Liverpool do it.

I think when the ref goes to the monitor they need to look at the replay in full speed first and then slow-mo. Everything looks like a foul/handball in slow-mo!!!

Here, I think the arm was sufficiently protruded from the body and there was enough distance between the passer and the defender where it could have been called last season, too. Imo that was one of the most legit handball penalties I've seen called all season.
(And Liverpool's penalty was a clear penalty.)
I'm kinda thinking along the same lines. That would have been a handball under quite a few of the previous versions of the handball rule too I think. Maybe not enforced without VAR, but the letter of the law would've made it a foul anyways. Also KBD missing a pen makes it three missed pens so far this weekend?

Yeah this is also an issue for champs league game where Rennes player ends up getting sent off for it, in slow mo everything looks worse.
Also wow that cross/chip pass by Cancelo was so so so so nice.

a draw at the Etihad is probably not a bad result for Klopp, especially with Van Dijk out.

I think the bigger deal at this point is that Fabinho was out too though. Van Dijk being out can't be helped this season, but with Fabinho you could at least relieve some pressure from the defenders through stronger defensive midfield (or use him as CB if that's the way you want to approach the issue).

Jesus we're going to not even make the top 10 with these dreadful performances

Wow i totall forgot about Fabinho missing as well. And Thiago too, also I'm not sure Klopp would play Thiago against City, especially with such a weakened back line.

VAR check of first goal took over 4 minutes - only 3 minutes added on...
Why are referees so afraid to put in high numbers of added time?

At the very least Thiago would've been an option if City score and switch to more defensive mode. Maybe he could have been played as number 10 in Firmino's and Shakiri's position in today's formation too, who knows.

What a horrible performance, we've fallen so much

No, Arsenal has played like this since Arteta took over. A few good knockout games made Arsenal dillusional

What on earth is going on in this valencia-RM game? Valencia has gotten 4 penalties in 65 minutes? (scored on 3 of them, got their 4th goal through an own goal).

Valencia - Real Madrid 4-1 at the moment. 3 penalties for Valencia. 2 handballs and 1 clumsy looking tackle.
