There is a workload ceiling for Durant. If he attempts to play as much and as intensely as he did in the 2019 playoffs he will tear his achilles tendon again.

At best, any surgery restores 95% of the ankle's ability to absorb repeated shocks. Surgery does not make your ankle stronger.

Leading up to his 2019 ankle problem Durant played 11 games in 25 games @ 39.5 minutes per game. If the Suns end up in a 15-day 7-game series.... hold your breath Suns fans.

Chances are Durant will get a different injury before his achilles tears again though.

Kawhi tears MCL again? Wonder if clips or anyone going to continue to sign him to maxes just for the hope that something will happen in the playoffs while he just sits. Almost a blessing in disguise for the raps to lose him for nothing if this goes on.

It is fascinating that when Kawhi finally got his tendons in solid condition that other connective structures failed on him.
