Also no he is a left back who is good but is no where near the best left back in the league, that is some red tinted glasses comment if i have ever seen one. This game he came on to today as well he made multiple mistakes giving the ball away and making silly passes across the back. Yes his cross for the gaol was nutty though and he is good but is no where near best left back in the league that is outrageous. Kolsanic also i am sure is favourite for that position for Arteta if he isnt injured. Robertson Digne Chilwell all good left backs and Robertson by far in a world of his own in that aspect too. Others offer the same offense as Saka and are more settled at it, even though are bit questionable defensively. Robertson's offense play this season has been very weak which is also mirrored by his stats. Defensively obviously there is no better full back atm. Chilwell, Digne better than Saka? My god, have you even seen Saka play? Hes been a game changer for the last 6-8 games for Arsenal.

I guess by the letter of the law that's the correct thing to do. But it's such a crazy swing around. I guess we will see more and more of that.

Is this goal 2:1 Marquinhos (45.) in the game PSG - Bordeaux 4:3 not considered offside anymore? I mean clearly #4 is offside in the moment of the kick, the proceeds to run towards the ball and irritating the GK? min 2:14

I don’t really like that either as you could have a player who had nothing to do with a move having a goal chalked off. On the other hand I don’t like how they are applying ‘interfering with play’ at all either. A goalkeeper has to position himself for likely angles of a shot regardless of the player, they don’t have time to correct for ‘well he’s offside I can ignore him’.

It might take some edge away from free kicks, but maybe it's an acceptable tradeoff here.

There's always going to be so much blocking and wrestling in the goal area that it gets very tricky to tell who is partipating without a thorough VAR breakdown or something similar. Ruling everyone a partipant would make it a much more straightforward call at the very least. It might take some edge away from free kicks, but maybe it's an acceptable tradeoff here. There are always one or two attackers just irritating the defenders "hold this line" kinda system, but usually they don't actively go to the ball and just wait for rebounds and the "new situation" In the case of PSG, this should have been an easy offside. Guess French Refs have watched to much Premier League VAR/ Refs :D

He did the same with Dortmund when they beat Bayern two seasons in a row. Always the fairest team in the Bundesliga. Klopp unlike all other "great" managers can win without fouling What other great manager needed to win by fouling? Cant think of many. Also Saka is ok at best. Being a decent performer in an under performing Arsenal team doesnt make you the current best at anything. I get that you have a hard on for your own opinions but if all youve got is, "look stats" and "played the last 6-8 games" in a semi decent Arsenal run (again relatively speaking, they are still in 9th place, not being in relegation is not an achievement). Wouldnt even put him top 5. Potential ? Sure. He looks good but again, doesnt take much to look good on that Arsenal team. \ On February 25 2020 06:58 Greg_J wrote: That was a pretty decent game. It looked like Liverpool might lose a Premier League game for a sec there. It maybe "looked" like this earlier in the season in games like this. Now its pretty much agiven that they will come back. Its happened like so many times where they have pulled out wins, its the whole written in the stars deal. United used to have the same thing. Teams bending over just under pressure and the will of the great team, The narrative is nerveless for them now The belief that you will win no matter what is currently what anyone associated in any capactiy with Liverpool has now, its pretty much affirmed at this point. Literally none of them ever get nervous or worried when I am watchig games with them.

As meaningless tables go the fair play one is close to useless. Play-acting to get opponents booked, crowding of referees and all sorts of unsporting conduct isn’t really covered, plus as you say it’s quite hard to foul people if you have the ball all the time. That said I do think Liverpool play pretty fairly all things considered.

Edit: One slip one lucky break and goal. I guess it's going to be one of those games...
