He knows he will likely have to play the Ravens again in January, so better to get a gauge on what works and what doesn't vs them, and gameplan for the next game. Ravens looked great though, can't say they didnt. BB & The Patroits learned from their mistake they made during their 16-0 season. NE went all out and threw the playbook at the giants and eli to secure the perfect regular season record winning the game 38-35. Once the SB came around, the Giants had prepared for NE by watching game 16's film. Pats would much more rather win the match ups in the post season when it actually matters ![]()

I don't know if the Giants received some great benefit , if any , from the game 16 film. The Patriots could also use the game 16 film as well.

In their next game it also could've gone either way and the Giants won. Both games were very close. I don't know if the Giants received some great benefit , if any , from the game 16 film. The Patriots could also use the game 16 film as well. the patriots had NO reason to play that game competitively against the Giants, but that game meant for the Giants postseason seeding. The Pats could have sat all their starters, play all the 3rd stringers against Eli, go 15-1 and still get a biweek with homefield through the playoffs. The Giants would have had no information against NE in the Superbowl. NE just got greedy in pursuit of the 16-0 season and it cost them the superbowl USC needs Urban Meyer and he seems interested in the position. The Trojans should hire him if possible ASAP.

I love and respect Wisconsin, but a natty contender always beats Wisconsin at home. They just never have the bodies. In my recollection, there has probably never been a worse #1 initial ranking in the history of the CFB. Not because OSU isn't a team that might win the CFB, but because I can't remember any team earning an early #1 as much as LSU has. Probably I am forgetting something, but, to me, it seems like the comittee is again indicating that they prefer you pummel Cincy at home rather than Texas away.

And by the end of the regular season, the two will be basically dead even on strength of schedule, if not slightly leaning towards OSU. Its not silly. Essentially they are saying if LSU loses to Bama and OSU to PSU, AND the Michigan game gets cancelled, they would get into the playoff above LSU. That's absolutely bananas.
