Has Mariotta had a better career than Winston? Ill i remember is Marcus getting btfo by the pats in the playoffs last year. Winston won rookie of the year but then did nothing else. They both seem equally busts?

A lot of people are weary of concussions and retire from the NFL all the day. He can still play baseball afterwards How many 23 year olds with no injury history have quit the NFL at the start of a guaranteed 4 year deal because they get scared? I don't know of any. If he does exit this 4 year deal he'll be at least 25. However, you are correct that he can play baseball. What he can't do is hit major league pitching. I get a laugh out of the story spread around that Murray had a "successful stint" in the Cape Code League. Scott Boras is great at manipulating the media and creating narratives. Murray struck out in almost 40% of his plate appearances while drawing 3 walks and hitting 1 home run. Billy Beane and the Oakland A's gambling on Murray was a dumb move. Murray did them a favour by opting to play in the NFL. The A's were set to spend far above the draftee limits for a guy who hits more like Danny Ainge than Bo Jackson.

Like I said, a good concussion would do that to a person. And I agree with pretty much all of the rest though. I'm not entirely sold on him being a good qb, but I could be wrong and he's the next warren moon.

Anybody have a darkhorse team that they think could make some noise this season? With Andrew Luck injured and Clowney not happy in Houston, I think the Jags might have a shot at a Wildcard spot Even as a Jags fan I know they will not threaten a playoff run. Their offensive depth is probably the worst in the league and Foles has like no weapons at all. I'd say their ceiling is 8-8.

I know it's preseason and he's working against depth guys but when you are THAT dominant against 3rd stringers, it is hard to imagine him not taking it to another level with more experience. Cant wait to keep an eye on this kid.

One of those times you're excited to see a guy get a big deal. He also appears to be a great teammate and a good guy off the field. edit: 5 year 64 million 35.5 guaranteed!
