Mahomes whatever you do, dont marry that girl. If Wilson's divorce in 2012 taught you anything, its better to not lose 50% of your upcoming huge contract to someone who never threw a pass. https://www.wf-lawyers.com/divorce-statistics-and-facts/
60 percent of all divorces involve individuals aged 25 to 39. Wives are the ones who most often file for divorce at 66 percent on average. That figure has soared to nearly 75 percent in some years.

He doesn't have half the resume yet to be the new Reid
You are right, but he could end up there. Who though is now the best active coach to not win a superbowl? Riverboat Ron?
I had to Google a list of the active NFL head coaches, and I think you can probably narrow it down to:
Ron Mike Zimmer Maybe Sean McVay, if you want to go there. Personally I think he's overrated
Its an interesting question, because Reid was far and away the best active coach without the championship, now its a little harder to say
LOL I did the same thing of "best coaches to never win" and Reid was the only active one.
I think Mccvay may be a flash in the an also, and I think they may have mortgaged the future too much.
Those are good names. I'd go with Ron, Zimmer and Shanahan right now. With Zimmer and Shanahan the closest to winning it. And shanahan is probably a distant third since I guess you can't be on this list with under 5 years of head coaching!

I actually think Ariens is the answer.
I'm not quite prepared to call him a good coach, outside of that one year he had Andrew Luck throwing the ball everywhere I havent seen a lot of success from him

no way, he got 3 very good years out of a cards team that had not been over .500 in the three years prior. They went from 5-11 to 10-6 when he came on board. One of those seasons he had to use Drew Stanton for half the year and they still went 11-5

Okay yeah you are correct, I hadn't realized that the Cards had as much success as they did under him
Yeah if we are going to go strictly by time spent coaching w/o a SB, you'd have these candidates for best without one:
Mike Zimmer, Ron Rivera, Bruce Ariens, Jason Garrett
If we are going by pedigree over time spent coaching, you could look at:
Kyle Shanahan, Dan Quinn, Sean McVay (more expected with time)
Obviously there is a large gap between the quality of Zimmer vs the quality of Ariens/Garrett, and same thing with Shanahan vs. Quinn, but at this point there isn't one guy out there who had the same timeline as Andy Reid w/o a win.
Coaches who we may be talking about in the same vane in the next few years if they can keep up how their teams have trended:
Frank Reich, Sean McDermott, Matt Nagy (with a good QB the Bears would be super competitive), Bill O'Brien (unlikely)
McVay and Shanahan are similar in having too conservative game plans to go with their creative playcalling. You would think that offensive coaches like them would be more willing to go for it on fourth down more. And you’d be wrong.
Nah, the team has been stagnant for years and even at its best, MSU only won big games on flukes. Besides, Dantonio is a big part of the school’s problematic culture, they need to clean house throughout.
I'm all for schools moving on and upwards towards better things. Huskers are still salty about Solich being fired or Pelini being let go after those 9 win seasons. Some fans are just not going to respond well to change.
But the next coach you guys get, hope they let him breathe and do his thing for a few years. People are already calling for Frost's head and his assistants as well (although some have been replaced/hired away).
Yep, folks around here are criticizing the timing of Dantonio’s move, particularly in terms of how it impacts prep for next season. An MSU Trustee said that MSU’s board was gonna give Dantonio the bonus even if he resigned before the trigger date of Jan 15, so that’s a relatively minor issue.
