Oliver Luck is all over ESPN advertising the XFL game tomorrow. Seems like Vince has got everybody promoting the hell out of this. Not sure if the XFL will be something ESPN will talk about on a weekly basis.

espn have broadcast rights for it, of course they're forced to talk it up so they don't lose on their investment.

I've watched a few series but yeah...no love or hate for it at the moment. I wish they had gone a little later in the year though. This won't last long enough to whet my appetite for football in general, not keep me entertained until college starts back in August.

The crowd seems to be full enough. My buddy got season tickets to the Seattle games for 100$, not a bad deal

They must be mic'ing the crowd, but after the dude nailed that 55yd FG, there was a big crowd pop! I could see this league succeeding if they can improve on things like clock management, some of the interviews can be trimmed, etc.

They are just interviewing anyone how has done anything because its actually the best way to build image for players/teams and personally I love that these players have the chance to be on TV talking instead of just being another player.

There actually has been very minimal downtime except for clock issues.

My main problem is the announcers do not sound very HYPE about the game, like they are reading a script, leading to alot of dead air when flags are thrown or timeouts are called. NFL knows hows to keep the audience involved in a game even if its in a lull.

didn't they say they expected games to be done in two and a half hours? felt like this current drive has gone for a solid 30 minutes with all these reviews.

game on fox was supposed to start at 5pm est and this is going 5 minutes overtime and the game didn't even go into OT.

Houston and LA both need uniform redesigns. These are both generic and don't really seem all that "LA" or "Texas"

Think some confusion is to be expected for the first game of a new league, ill give them a pass. If its lasting 3 hours mid-season, than theirs a problem

Cardale Jones looks like a better version of Winston tbh

MSU is still enmeshed in all sorts of legal drama, with the former assistants lawsuit against the school just picking up steam after having brought the NCAA into the fold.
