Once again, if you only judge teams on their CHampions League results you will have a very warped view on which teams are good.

Pellegrini has the same amount of trophies in home soil that Guardiola has, ok Guardiola won a Community Shield (?) And same time frame if I'm not wrong 🤔

3 seasons before pep chronologically: win, 86 points, second 79 points, fourth 66 points 3 seasons with pep chronologically: third, 78 points, first 100 points (5 points better than previous PL record, best team of the premier league era), and then this season they are en route to another 95+ point season.. While the CL is arguably more prestigious, I strongly maintain that league performance is a more important metric when evaluating how good a team is, and he's given them a 15 point per season boost. And if you watch them play multiple league games, the improvement is self-evident. City's top level and consistency are both fantastic. But, other top teams are also very good..

Come on, Pep told Laporte to suck and he also told the ref last season to give 2 50/50 offside decisions without VAR to Pool and then rob City of another goal :p

Ajax vs Spurs. I would love to know the odds on that one before the CL season started.

Which is why I guess its so much fun.

Considering City scored 4 goals that were given by the ref I don't think that Sane missing was their problem, it was conceding dumb goals. Scoring 4 goals in a CL quarter final against a good team is pretty great in my opinion.
