Also jock I've never had a problem with english fans of the national team. Once again, you're solid fans without ever winning anything. That's respectable. Tbh what irks me is when people complain about their team being 'ass fucking horrible' despite being #2 in their league or 'our manager is completely useless' despite 'our national team has the best record of any team for the past 15 years'. ![]()

I mean do you meet any Liverpool fan to talk about football for it to arrive swiftly at the station of Istanbul in 2005? Imagine that x100 if they won the league, their fans are an embarrassment when they win anything, they take it way to far. A yanited fan was on the radio talking funnily about it the other day it was all over Reddit you might have heard/seen it. He was basically saying (for those who didn't) that if Liverpool were to win the league they would have a legends match between the winners in 2019 vs those who won it 26 years ago, would keychains and mugs, open top bus parades, tours around the country/world etc etc. They are crazy and already hard enough to deal with as it is. You think i would want Pep to win back to back titles? No i would not, but if that means it stops Liverpool winning then so be it. If you asked me Spurs or Liverpool then i would have to probably change sports or sleep for 12 months i don't know that isn't nice, but City and Liverpool that one is easy. That btw, is the answer any none Liverpool fan in England! As i said Yanited fans would take losing to City in derby to gift them title over Liverpool. Agreed, I think most United fans want City to win, glad to think fans from other clubs think the same :D

Same as England i guess though if you are Yanited or Scouse fan you are known as the "glory" supporter per se due to how dominant both were at certain times in history. Also you will probs hate us English after we win the biggest cup competition in the world in the summer. 1st Nations Cup Champions - England, sounds good right :D

Also you will probs hate us English after we win the biggest cup competition in the world in the summer. 1st Nations Cup Champions - England, sounds good right :D Haha your hypothesis might make sense to you but it really isn't the explanation. Firstly, nobody is a fan of Liverpool because of John Arne Riise. (If anything, the opposite is true. ) The Liverpool fans are more fans because of their parents; Norwegians started watching english football during the 70s. Liverpool was great at that time, so they got the biggest fan base. Two of the random teams with the most Norwegian fans are Leeds and Nottingham Forest, backing up this. Anyway, parents of my generation-liverpool fans were glory hunters - but liverpool fans from my generation have the CL win, nothing else. United fans became fans on their own however, but that is the generation growing up during the 90s. For me, I randomly started supporting Newcastle during this period (the team with peter beardsley was amazing), and hated united above all, because they were what stopped us from winning any titles. ;p Ole (And henning berg and ronny johnsen) had some influence, but my impression was that most kids were supporting united or liverpool even before Ole joined (in 1996). Now, Ole becoming their manager, now, that has reinvigorated norwegian support for united. Now, even I'm supporting them. Well, a bit, anyway. I'm guessing if I'm ranking the top 6 teams in terms of how much I support them, it'd be something like pool=spurs > united > arsenal >>> chelsea=city. I think for most Norwegians who don't support either united or liverpool, it looks a lot like that.

Which i don't have issues with as Yanited are or were the biggest club in the world, they are back into second place now according to Deloitte. Anyway another funny thing Mensol just linked me which is a video where a "tier 1" source for Liverpool Mellisa Reddy who works for LFC tv and is genuinely well connected is spouting off at how Man City had to grow the grass to beat them on a talk show. This is the kind of drivel you get from them which annoys the majority of the country.

In fact this year I want United to do well just to spite him. He is always shitting on everyone, including openly saying how his own players could never reach top4, just too toxic. And yet I want him back for the memes and because a good story needs a good villain ![]()

1. Liverpool (cause of Kloppo and his style of fast attacking football) 2. Arsenal (more nostalgia than anything else I guess) 3. Spurs (just your friendly neighbourhood club) Everyone other team 18. United (like them before doing the same shit as the other moneythrowing shits) 19. Chelsea ((just a bunch of moneythrowing shits with history) 20. Man City (just a bunch of faceless moneythrowing shits with no history) No offense! ![]()

But you are entitled to your opinion, i get the hate City and Chelsea get and normally the hate for Yanited is based off their success of the past but never because of the moneythrowing excuse because they are a club that is the biggest brand in the world (until this year Deloitte has them dethroned) they deserve to be able to spend the money they make. Also on top of that they didn't even spend much during Sir Alex years lol

PSG was created not even 50 years ago, they had world stars before the Qatar era but that's not what people like to talk about. I'm also sure that 50 years from now, nobody will give a crap about how City/Chelsea/PSG/... reached the top. I'm saying that while I still prefer clubs that do things well by focusing on creating a unique playstyle and giving youth a chance, while achieving success at the top level. You can admire teams that do everything perfectly without resorting to huge financial investments, but you shouldn't hate those who don't. Imo, the club "image" matters more. Sign arrogant players, always complain in the press, get caught paying referees, etc. That's much worse.

Also, I hope Lewy won't disappoint in UCL matches as he used to. He just can't prove he's a good striker in real important matches outside of national league :<
