Shit Barça. 20 good minutes and then same crap as in Liga. Unsurprisingly, you can't turn up just for Champions League games. Unless you're Real Madrid of course.

But you are entitled to your opinion, i get the hate City and Chelsea get and normally the hate for Yanited is based off their success of the past but never because of the moneythrowing excuse because they are a club that is the biggest brand in the world (until this year Deloitte has them dethroned) they deserve to be able to spend the money they make. Also on top of that they didn't even spend much during Sir Alex years lol Didn't know that about Liverpool and yes I liked United a lot under Sir Alex. They did lose a lot of sympathy these last few years though. Madrid got help from the government, Juventus had Moggi, and most other top clubs in Europe have done shadier things than just injecting money in a club, which has never been a total guarantee for success. It helps, but at the very top it's not enough. City's "unlimited" funds certainly helped them kickstart their growth, but there are at least 4-5 clubs just in England with the same financial power as City, and they're not all doing that well despite maybe having more history. PSG was created not even 50 years ago, they had world stars before the Qatar era but that's not what people like to talk about. I'm also sure that 50 years from now, nobody will give a crap about how City/Chelsea/PSG/... reached the top. I'm saying that while I still prefer clubs that do things well by focusing on creating a unique playstyle and giving youth a chance, while achieving success at the top level. You can admire teams that do everything perfectly without resorting to huge financial investments, but you shouldn't hate those who don't. Imo, the club "image" matters more. Sign arrogant players, always complain in the press, get caught paying referees, etc. That's much worse. Ah well, maybe we just can't help ourselves ^^ I never liked Munich but I respected them for what they were doing. Until Hoeneß became prez again... Needless to say I'm not a big fan of Madrid or PSG for the same reasons that I don't like City / Chelsea. Italien League is / was something else entirely, with the forced demotion of Juve and their shady shit This all comes from someone whose home club Stuttgart is about go down in 2nd Bundesliga (again!), so maybe I'm just a bitter old man ![]() Favourite club with focus on creating a unique playstyle and giving youth a chance, while achieving success at the top level would be Dortmund

This is really baffling to me. Fitting together a world class football team sure is tricky, but you'd think Barcelona resources are enough to have some kind of suitable rotation right from the start of the season rather than hiring someone off-position halfway through the season. Is there some injury or transfer that didn't go through that they can use as an excuse or are they really this bad at building a team?

Do people think Manchester United have a god given right to win the league every year because they have loads of fans in China? If it wasn't for teams like United and Liverpool creating the conditions where the richest clubs always win, you wouldn't even have the likes of City and Chelsea spending billions on winning titles, and if it wasn't for those billions the Premier League would be completely boring and dominated by one team every single year.

Obviously it's not black and white like this because big clubs sometimes fail and let smaller clubs pick up the pieces, but at the base, the system is unfair, so might as well just enjoy what we have. About Suarez, the thing is that Valverde could try Malcom + Dembélé + Messi as false 9, but it seems like Malcom doesn't have the right to play for Barça. Yesterday subbing Dembélé was just dumb, and for Coutinho, even dumber. I'd love to see what Barça could do with Malcom and Dembélé on the sides and Messi behind. They're fast, they can dribble, and Messi can assist them or finish. But oh well, Suarez being Messi's bestie, and Valverde having no guts, it's not going to happen. Since we didn't have any goal yesterday with 4 super offensive teams, I'm predicting a goal fest between Atletico and Juve. 4-4 or something. And City Schalke 0-0, to keep the same logic.

If both clubs do their job equally well, the outcome will favour Paris. Then if Rennes wanted to compete at the same level, they'd need some extremely good results over years and years to amass enough fans to be able to sustain themselves at that level. Which is most of the time impossible because they'd lose their best players to bigger clubs, and lose titles to those same clubs. Unless they get big investments to carry them during those few years.
