Congratulations Toronto. I still don't really understand the MLS format but I think they finished top of the League anyway so deserved. Keep the passion even if you aren’t going to the world cup.
I’ve joined a new school in Beijing and there are a few guys to actually talk about football in real life for the first time in years for me. The World Cup kick of times are all terrible for us in Beijing and the Premier League is joining in by pushing for Saturday evening kick offs from 2019 (TV more important than away fans). But we were briefly talking about flying to Novograd for the Panama game since it’s a weekend game in a beautiful city. But the Russian reputation for football and violence has put an end to that.
Chelsea played a typical Arsenal game yesterday just turned up expecting to win against a poor team and didn't run or play any football until it was already almost too late, really unimpressive display. A bit of credit to West Ham and perhaps even Moyes.
Manchester derby will be boring I’m not going to stay up and watch it.

Seattle was totally outmatched. pretty disappointing game. the funniest part to me was the commentators trying to push the narrative that this was somehow redemption for Bradley and Altidore for not making the World Cup. Yeah I'm sure everyone would rather win MLS Cup than play at the World Cup not to mention they won it with a Canadian Franchise so it's not like it would redeem it with any of the American fans.
They kept talking about how some Panamanian defender marking Jozy had the last laugh in qualifying but JOZY HAS THE LAST LAUGH TONIGHT. I guess they have to try and sell their product

They were outmatched last year aswell. They had less shots on goal last year than they did this this year. The main difference was Giovinco was healthy and considering the passing and first touches of the Avg player in MLS Vasquez may aswell be KDB, so the whole Sit and defend shtick that Seattle ran with this year was less likely to succeed.
it would have been a travesty for the team and the way they played the last two years to lose again.

Real's backline vs Sevilla so young and still no goals conceded? :o Did Kroos and Modric defend the midfield so well?

Stöger is new BVB coach. A little surprised by it since he got fired from Cologne just a week ago.

Finally the first good news for us since Heynkes appointment!

tbf köln's abyssmal season is really anyone but stöger's fault, and dortmund were close to signing him in summer already

Hahaha I love snow games. The referee just had to measure from the goal line because they forgot to repaint the pen spot and couldn't find it.

Pande might find some consolation in the fact that Arsenal is about to drop some points and at least someone in Manchester is about to lose some too. Liverpool game remains to be seen. Not the smoothest weekend for the bigger 6 teams in PL anyway.

Yeah Giroud 88th minute equaliser! Liverpool team is mind boggling wtf has Klopp done? Coutinho/Firminho/Can DROPPED ? Solanke comes in, Milner and Henderson very defensive. Mane and Salah out wide which is ok but what on earth lol.
Everton big on confidence too now.

Also Mane just threw away a counter where he had 3!!! men open in the middle of the box
e: just look at that https://streamable.com/kfy1v

Haha Rooney!!! 1-1 Such against run of play, huge call from referee probably correct decision but holy smokes 1-1!

Imo not enough for penalty. These kind of touches happen all the time, attacker made a lot of it. Although I would not call it a gross error.

Yeah defo soft penalty, one of those it foul outside the box but is it enough for inside the box
|
No thats not enough for a foul outside the box, that was nothing. Given what they have actioned so far would be no surprise if that gets charged with successful deception of official

It a pen man, just a soft pen. Pundits and commentary in England saying it was, Lovren puts his hands up for no reason.

If it was Chelsea playing you'd argue against it.

He would argue against it if that had been called for Liverpool, if something like that was called against chelsea he would be ranting FA agenda all over the place for days.

We didn't get a clearer pen then that what can you do we have had worst pens given against us, we have had dives against us given and whatever. This is football that is irrelevant. It is a penalty everyone said it is, he puts his hands up, touches his back, moves his hand and referee sees that because the striker goes down. He wins the penalty no doubt but it isn't a wrong decision at all why would it be.
Neville summed it up; "Lovren gives the referee a decision to make, he puts his hands onto the striker and pushes him and he goes down, its very soft and he has gone down very easily but its a penalty, just a very soft one"
Also if that was Chelsea playing i would be raging at Mane for failing to pass it to win the game 2-0. Scousers had 90% possession and had two clear cut chances in Mane and Salah creating his own goal.
