Benfica has 400m in liabilities, financial debt is actuallly substantially lower. We haven't been in trouble with FFP because since its inception, the club has become financially profitable. Last year profit was 44m.

I don't quite understand. Was he banned for overreacting when he was already on the ground? Because in this video I can see neither a dive nor deception. The guy comes up to him and shoves him to the ground with quite a bit of force behind it, which is a clear red for me.

The quite a bit of force can be misleading from the slowmotion in this replay. Not saying it wasnt, but slowmotion can sometimes be terrible to judge such things.

Also you have to remember this is english football....where you actually have contact and stuff like these little shoves happen quite often.

I don't agree either and the FA has not released official reasoning because they were hurried as the banned player had a game a few hours after the ruling yesterday. Will be interesting to see what happens with appeals next week.

I do think the guy looked more injured than the push indicated, but I definitely wasn't expecting this to be the first application of this kind of retraction. It does look like a hard shove. I'd be fine with that only being a yellow card though, but I sorta thought we'd see this applied when it's like, shouldn't have been anything, rather than 'that was probably supposed to be a yellow-orange color rather than red'.

I know. But this was probably our best game this season so far... We were playing like we should be... like a good team from the 2nd Bundesliga, yet we couldn't score goals. Meanwhile Darmstadt were playing like a solid 3rd League team but scored on 2 of their 3 shots

The only reason I'm not completely unhappy is, that we should have been playing with only 10 players since the 1st half. That was one brutal foul. And because it was Patrick Schönfeld who scored the equalizier. He was ill for half a year, got substituted into the game in the 88th minute for his first minutes since a long time and immediately secured a point for us 3 minutes later. Stadion went crazy.

god damnit. first rosenborg concedes a 1-1 goal after 92:54 on thursday. next game I watch, newcastle vs bournemouth, we concede 0-1 after 91:30. Rosenborg was dominant though, and this game has been pretty even, so it's not really that unfair, (although newcastle had a wrongly disallowed goal, but it was super close, hard to blame the ref).

Btw drone: you told me that I had no reasons to whine being a dortmund fan. We are out of Europe, 6 points behind in BL, lost our best way to gain points to bayern (losing home game right now) and are now 3rd behind Leipzig.

I judged my whining based on the games, not the result. Predicting how dortmund is going to fare was not hard if you watched the games...
At the rate BVB is plummeting atm, we might even fall so much behind that we could lose direct CL qualification for this season...
