Rosenborg looking fantastic vs Zenit! I mean by Norwegian standards obviously, but we've been completely dominant this game. It's only 1-0, but Zenit basically hasn't created anything at all in 75 minutes. Oh there they just had a chance actually. But anyway prolly the most solid rosenborg performance in Europa since we beat Valencia a decade ago, or something.

Aleksandr Kokorin (Zenit St Petersburg) right footed shot from very close range to the bottom right corner. Assisted by Emiliano Rigoni with a cross. Meanwhile Everton are out after a 3-0 to Lyon tho that is likely the best outcome for them.

According to Transfermarkt, they made easily over 120 million on that window. Meanwhile according to the same site, their biggest investment is some 3,5 million youngster. Any idea what's going in there? Are they saving up for buying Messi & Ronaldo in one window?

Super positive performance leading to more support for the 'rebuild rosenborg anno 1995-2002' project, but they just don't have the experience or cynicism required to really follow through. ![]()

Benfica is not looking good at all... In Theory the money went to pay short time finantial debt to the banks. The problem is that Benfica only reduced the finantial debt in around 17M. It's still on the 400M mark which is more than double the yearly operational results for the club. In reality our president is deep deep in a web of sorts with Jorge Mendes. Not that it's an illegal thing, but it's damaging for the club. Mendes helps sell the players and he gets 10% of the sells, and he also help bringing in whoever he wants (Like Jimenez or Rafa) for inflated amounts. (also taking a value for helping intermediate the deals) On top of those 3 players we sold, we also managed to sell Mitroglou who scored 50 goals on the last 2 seasons, because Jimenez didn't want to go to China for 40M. Our only "higher profile" aquisition this year was Seferovic that came from the almighty Eitracht Frankfurt... Oh, and our coach sucks... Also, the fans are a bit pissed with the President.. He keeps saying on interviews that he wants to keep the Youngsters so we can be competitive in Europe and clichés like that and in the last 4 years we had the following Youngsters leaving the club: Ederson: Played 1 year on the team, sold to Man City Nelson Semedo: Played 1.5 Years on the team, sold to Barcelona Lindelof: Played 2 Years on the team, Sold to Man United André Gomes: Played 1 year on the team, Sold to Valencia and later went to Barcelona Ivan Cavaleiro: Played 6 months on the team, sold to Monaco and later went to Wolves Bernardo Silva: only played 6 minutes on Benfica First team after 12 years in the young teams of the club. Sold to Monaco and later to Man City Renato Sanches: Played 8 months on the team, sold to Bayern Munich Gonçalo Guedes: Played 1.5 Years on the team, Sold to PSG, now on Valencia Oblak: Played 6 months on the team. Sold to Atletico And this is only the youngsters that developed on the club... If you want to count the rest of the players that left the club on the last 4 years you still have Gaitan, Matic, Enzo Perez, Rodrigo, David Luiz, Garay, Markovic.. How can we be happy with this management?

![]() That said, in the league, Bendtner only has 17 goals in 26 matches. Last year we had Christian Gytkjær who ended up with 19 in 28, year before, we had Alexander Søderlund who got 22 in 27. But for Bendtner, he was at 4 goals after the first 14 or something, and the form he has had since then is just.. we don't really ever see that type of skill in players playing for Norwegian teams. I dunno how long he stays with us tbh, but he seems to really enjoy himself, and we're happy to have helped him regain his form - if he leaves before next season we should get way more than we invested in him. :p
