This team isn't that good, that's what.

But Tuchel can't get it together with them. Sure you got some injuries. But if you loose to a team that got 1 point in 8 games and you are arrogant enough to start Weidenfeller, Park, Ramos and Kagawa instead of Bürki, Passlack, Götze and Pulisic/Rode then you fucked up big time. If this goes on then they won't go to CL next year.

They lost 3 world class players this past year. This team is fun. They can get a draw out of Real Madrid on a good day, but they won't beat anyone truly good and they can't be consistent enough to win regularly. They'll win nothing this year and it's all that they'll deserve. Wins: Eintracht Trier 3:0 Mainz 2:1 Legia Warsaw 6:0 Darmstadt 6:0 Wolfsburg 5:1 Freiburg 3:1 Sporting Lisbon 2:1 Draws: Real Madrid 2:2 Hertha BSC 1:1 Losses: Bayern Munich 0:2 RB Leipzig 0:1 Bayer Leverkusen 0:2 (Currently) Ingolstadt 0:2 This isn't the record of a team that is in any way good enough to win trophies. Their wins have come against only one team that's good enough to be in the top half of the Bundesliga table. 6:0 wins and exciting draws against Real Madrid make you enjoy the game, but it doesn't give you any confidence in them actually winning anything that matters.

That's what it boils down to unless all players magically have a good day which they rarely have Also the real problems will be in the summer transfer window. The star players that are left will think twice if they really want to stay if all they get is talented young players to support them. I like Dortmund does not go the crazy "SPEND ALL THE MONEY" way and buys like crazy. But you gotta do something. And don't spend your fucking money on players like götze who havnt done anything good since 2014 world cup. Can't expect to retain your superstars because even though the team right now should place CL, i agree with Stratos_speAr. They need a Leicester level of world wonder to come close to win anything this year Last season they had 4 more points than this year after 8 playdays as well. Now while that is not that much, they already had Bayern and Gladbach out of the way at that point, 2 of the toughest opponents.

The talent is hyped because they could be good in a few years. Several of the players aren't even 20 years old yet. But yes, I guess the most concise way to phrase it is "consistency issues", although it's a little more dire than just that.

The Bundesliga would be fun this year if we didn't all know that Bayern was going to win. The problem with the league is that instead of all of these teams (BSC, Hoffenheim, RBL) getting better, everyone except Bayern is getting worse.

We signed a player who was not even good enough for Wolfsburg lol. BVB deserves all of this and I hope Tuchel's days are soon over.

The problem with the league is that instead of all of these teams (BSC, Hoffenheim, RBL) getting better, everyone except Bayern is getting worse. I agree. All the good teams are struggeling because of bad transfers, bad form or just inconsistency. There is no really strong german team but Bayern. And even a bad Bayern is enough to win Bundesliga. The decent teams are slightly overpeforming but Käln and Berlin are not keeping this up. They'll earn enough points early to secure not getting relegated and playing for europe league. The worst thing is that teams like fucking Leipzig don't go back into shit like they deserve and can capatilize on the struggeling top teams. Looks like Dortmund scores the 2-3. Maybe they can still draw. Or win. Dunno and honestly i dont even care that much right now. The team has such huge issues that go unaddressed that sometimes its pure torture cheering and watching them. Especially once my inner fanboy admitted they won't do anything special this year haha

The problem is that our defense is utterly horrendous and we have no reliable depth. I'm not entirely sold on Tuchel, but in many ways he has done very well. I don't think it's a smart call to just throw him under the bus right away.

I can somewhat see the reason to get Götze even though it obviously was a bad choice (hindsight 20/20) but Schürrle? 1 or 2 good years at Mainz, didnt succeed at any top team. Yeah, sounds like someone i would pay 35 millions for T_T. Altough i will admit that he might be a decent transfer if he was cheaper and not always injured. But that's like saying Rode was a perfect striker if he just scored 10 more goals each season

Should have spent that same amount money to get a better coach and better defense. Also I really like Köln, they are pulling a BVB from a few years ago (getting better every year) On October 23 2016 00:01 Stratos_speAr wrote: Show nested quote + On October 22 2016 23:59 sharkie wrote: Any good BVB fan predicted this outcome when they signed Götze and Schürrle... Tuchel is on my bad side since he favoured a 0-0 draw instead of trying to challenge Bayern for the title last year (even if the chance is small, you should always try).

The A-team defense is good in my eyes, but you are right about the depth. If 1 of the 4 is injured it's almost GG unless you score 2 or 3 goals that game
