Spurs are doing more or less the same that city does, high pressure and try to stop the midfield from receiving with any form of space, so City should open the game a lot more and be more direct, yet they keep doing the same

Not too surprised at the result, I expect City to drop alot more points facing tougher opposition. Let's see if Pep continues to stick to this style with his current players, this ain't Barcelona where he had Xavi Iniesta Busquets who could control the midfield easily.

Celta doing again. Winning 3-0 in the first half to Barcelona. Last season Celta already won 4-1 to Barcelona.

la liga really has become more competitive the last couple seasons, atletico, real and barca have all dropped 6+ games from the first 7 matches (assuming barca doesn't win). if that pace continued, we'd have a champion with 81 points, the lowest in a decade.

How did the league evolve from 2man horse to 3man horse and real and barca dropping points almost frequently?

based on how well spanish teams continue to do in CL/EL, I'd guess the lower tier teams became better.

Non Barça/Madrid teams economy has improved a lot.

- Their Tax debts were reduced more than half from 2010 to 2014.
- They changed from individual TV Rights deal to Centralized TV Rights deal and now there is more money in the league and it is more evenly distributed (Barça/Madrid used to earn 3 or 4 times more than Atletico in 2010 when Mou/Guardiola, and now they earn a 50 or 60% more than Atleti only)

City without De Bruyne looked completely clueless. Though it didn't take any credit away from Poch who pretty much read Pep like a book that game. When Aguero had to make cross from the right wing, it was over for Pep's boys.
