There's still Darmian who's much more of a natural wingback than Blind, even though he's terrible. Playing Blind + Lingaard on one side essentially means Utd can only attack down the right, like in the Watford game. Although Mata is finally playing #10 perhaps for the first time in 2 years so middle could finally be an option.

So Blind is playing more of a Carrick role than LB, trying to hit passes over the top for Rashford to run onto, except the passes have been awful and they have no understanding. Meanwhile Lingaard's side is useless as expected. Pogba can't win the ball, Mata is playing worse than Rooney. Bailly is great. A little better after the goal though which was undeserved. At least the corner from Blind was better than anything Rooney has put in.

This is why I like Blind. He's a clever player IMO. Mata/Pogba/Herrera are all looking amazing after the goal btw. Really clicking well.

the master Ole Gunnar Solskjær was an incredible "sub player", ferguson always used him as a sub in the last 30-40 minutes and he always delivered.

Ok Mata is so much better than Rooney especially when playing in this lineup. Pogba finally showing his technique, vision, etc, but he needs to play this well when the game isn't going his way.

Best player on pitch for me at the moment is Mata. He is making Yanited tick, they are way more balanced with Pogba and Herrera "holding" as the two as Pogba gets up and down and Herrera just sits and gets it to Mata.

The front 3 for Yanited could be anyone and it would work, Rooney can play one of the wide positions quite easily imo in this system.
