I actually think it's impossible for them to win anything. Ever.

I actually think it's impossible for them to win anything. Ever. True. I actually have a soft spot for them, which is why it hurts. That combined with Real's comeback really ruined my football night yesterday. On the other topic: Champions League is getting more boring, European leagues outside of England are getting more boring, a logical consequence of the money excesses in the PL. Only the first rank of European clubs outside of England can hold onto their best players, even financially healthy clubs like Dortmund lose the best players. Other, less rich clubs have even more problems, losing players to desperate PL relegation candidates buying every decent player they can find. Naturally, the gap widens.

The worst years were when Guardiola/Mourinho with that 100 points ligas and the title being decided in the two matches of "el clásico". You knew they would win against other teams always, it was the dark ages of Spanish football. But this 3 or 4 years it has been awesome, with 3 teams with a possibility of winning la liga. Last year Barcelona only got 1 point more than Real Madrid, and 3 points more than Atlético. The last years the title battle have been awesome. Yes, there will not be a Liecester, but it is overall way better than Bayern, PSG, Juventus in their leagues. edit: Have we decided we don't need a Champions League thread this year? Yes, we had a pool and decided against it.

Spurs managed to look good for large spells whilst managing to also look a bit fragile at the back and blunt at the front. I'm not sure where my genral impresion of them looking good comes from if I also say they didn't attack of defend well. I guess thier passing movement and control of the ball. was good. But defending well and scoring goals are far more useful than passing the ball around. edit: Have we decided we don't need a Champions League thread this year? 84k in Wembley and atmosphere was like a morgue, don't understand it at all really. Get that many fans and in champions league for 1st time in many years and that happens. Oh well Leicester keeping the English flag flying in champions league !
