Still sad that they were so heavily ravaged by injuries in the second half, easy CL winner Pep's Bayern in a nut shell. His whole Bayern career was his squad very injured for champions league where he actually needed his best 11. Shame, lets see if he has similar issue with Man City squad.

Even me, I stopped to watch football after 1st half. Here too, ~20 posts about 7 UCL games yesterday. Well football was very boring last season already with only Leicester mixing things up. This season I actually expect it to be even less exciting.

I don't see how this is any kind of mystery. Watching the same few teams win all the time is really fucking boring. I find it funny that I mentioned this idea a couple years ago and the only thing people would say is, "People only want to watch the biggest teams!". Now articles and blogs all over the place talk about how dull each of the big leagues are and how there's little excitement for the CL.

I am one of those "people" that made that claim and im sorry but if activity on the football thread is your argument then I dont know what to say. Im more bored with posting here than I am with football. Right now I have 2 windows open from reddit streams that happen to not be blocked by my office network. it took me 12 tries to find just one. As for the dullness of big leagues, that has more to do with how bad the PL was last year in my opinion. Most people here are more interested in the PL and we have a solid sprinkling of people interested in the Bundesliga. I dont really watch the Bundesliga outside the odd Bayern or Dortmund game. I watch most PL games and I watch most La liga games. Infact I probably watch the most la liga games just because Im not going to wake up at 7 in the morning on a saturday to watch City United.(i did, but you get the point) People that i know in RL are just as interested in football and every year I turn around and more people I know are into it. If you walk into a sports bar here in Toronto on a weekend afternoon you will see why big teams matter more than Stoke City. Thats just how it is. The CL has always been lopsided, well by always pretty much since the mid 2000's. Its not a new developement that people suddenly realized and now cant handle anymore. There have also always been blogs and articles lamenting this. This is nothing new.

6-0 5-0 4-0 3-0 3-0 What a playday... And the remaining games were also not short of goals, just more evenly distributed.
