It's crazy how West Ham managed to fall apart in that game. 2:0 up cruising. The attacking half of their team playing with such flare. The atmosphere looked great in the new stadium and lots of smiles all around. But then to ship 4 goals and lose 2:4 is kind of mental. I was out visiting the wall this weekend but what I have managed to see of the football looks truly exciting. Great week of Premier League action I would try and catch up with the other leagues but there will be Champions League games to wacth before I even get a chance too. Tonight is ASL time. Life is good.
Wow that was awesome lol

It's funny how the striker celebrated like it was his goal...

Or has TL much more members from the US than I was aware of? That thread started in February though. yeah 40 something pages in half a year is a joke compared to football threads. on the subject of payet, its weird how he has really stepped up his game since the last season but hes almost 30 now. what do you think was the catalyst for him suddenly becoming an a-class player? cases like him really make you question whether teams have to spend millions on the hottest 18 yr old. He always had this talent. What he was missing is consistency. He would play 5 amazing games in a season and be lazy the rest. In England you can't do that. Also he met a decent coach his last season in France... Some guy called Marcelo Bielsa xD

Still 1st in fantasy after 4 weeks. You guys need to buck up

Lahm making a little jab at the new ticket distribution for the CL. Good to see influential players speak out like this: http://www.goal.com/en/news/22822/bayern-munchen/2016/09/13/27447652/lahm-everyone-starts-from-zero-in-the-champions-league?ICID=HP_FT_3
Although there is a big difference in quality between us and them, these games are very important as part of a European competition. The attractiveness of the Champions League is not that the biggest clubs play against each other, but that smaller clubs get the chance to compete with Bayern, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Man City, Chelsea or Man Utd.
It contradicts my understanding of football to create an elite league where only the most famous teams play against each other. There will always be games between the top teams. These are the most attractive matches, yes, but will it be still exciting if Bayern and Madrid play against each other ten times a year?
...
As I said in connection with our USA journey, I think it is crucial to be close to the people and the fans. In my opinion, the country borders still play a role. I think in Hungary, for example, a game between Barcelona and Bayern does not excite the people as much as a game between Bayern and Budapest.
That’s why I think our overarching goal should be to share it with all and not just celebrate a football party with the people who are the profiteers of the global development.

Seems like Wenger is the only person in the world who thinks Alexis is a lone striker up front

Well, 1-0 for Bayern after a penalty because Rostov's captain really wanted to hug Lewandowski during a corner.

Holy shit Atkinson is one of the worst refs I've ever seen. He's making a mockery of PSV Atletico

Rostov looks like they're about to get horribly rolled over.

It is as if Bayern and Barca keep re-raising each other.

Didn't Celtic use to defend quite well in their games against Barca?
