Watching women's archery final is like watching the men's US basketball team play against Iceland's female team.

You may as well deliver the gold medals by default to SK in archery.

Literally though, the women's team could probably beat every men's team minus SK's own I think.

I don't even know why this discipline isn't gender neutral.

FFFFFFFFF We are close to losing to south korea in football. That's what I get for making fun of Mexico earlier.

At least SK can say they beat Germany in football, even if it is the German B-team. Or Korea can choke in overtime...

Equaliser! 90+2nd minute!

More importantly, the dutch cyclist is out of (or has never been in) critical condition according to UCI.

Yes, 19th gold for Phelps. Savior for the US team, great stuff. Waiting for wiki to update to see his split.

edit: Awesome, 4th fastest of the 32 swimmers, only behind the 3 anchors of the medalists.

I was disappointed that they chose to go with Ryan Held over Anthony Ervin, but it seems like they made the right choice. Phelps' underwater kick in the second 50 beastly as expected. Was hoping to see another WR, but the 2008 team was probably about as good as a team could ever be.

Really great swims in general so far. Hosszu and Ledecky really highlights so far, with Sjöström and Peaty not far behind. They're all so dominant in their respective best races, incredible to watch.

I always thought it was the weed and alcohol, and the OCD for the dedication to training.

Comparatively short legs and a disproportionately huge torso + long arms, giving him a better position in the water. Bigger than average feet, tall in general, and a natural feeling for technique. Naturally good at underwater work. Foremost, though, never-say-die work ethic. He's really just the perfect storm of desirable traits wrapped in the best swimming environment in the world.

All thanks to Jason Lezak on the last split. One second faster than the WR for 100m freestyle for his split. One of the nicest swimming races of all time.
