I'm hoping BJ retires, but I mean so has a bunch of people for a long time. That is the type of fight he could feel good about retiring on. Looked much more like the old BJ (but way slower) in the pocket boxing taking shots moving forward. Not a bad fight to go out on, he showed well for himself.

The only fight left that makes sense at this point is BJ Penn vs Anderson Silva.
Penn, the "I can still become a champion" guy who beats his wife and threatens people with machete, and then Silva, who instead of retiring as one of the greatest of all time, has thrown away his legacy and will be known as a drug cheat after two back to back suspensions. Could've been a GSP story, but alas.
In another news, pretty cool feats are coming.
Nate Diaz vs Anthony Pettis
Zabit vs Ortega
I wonder where that positions Volkanovski, since you now have both Frankie Edgar and Volkanovski up there. Best case scenario for me would be for Holloway to make a quick turn around and fight both of them. Idk though, Edgar is such a nice dude, would hate for him to be skipped for inactivity... And having Edgar fight Volkanovski would make it like 8+ months from now before the belt is defended, so over a year between featherweight title defenses. Edgar looks ready, not sure about Max after that war, but I hope they book it 2-4 months from now, give time for Volkanovski to heal up and watch from the sidelines knowing he'll get the next shot.
