Pretty hard season for the favorites in DFB-Pokal. So far Heidenheim, Bremen, Leverkusen and Bayern are qualified for the quarterfinals. With one of 1860 - Bochum and one of Stuttgart - Braunschweig joining this will be a pretty "weak" lineup even if Dortmund and Berlin win their games.

A full on sacking a player like i would if i got sacked tomorrow would be heres the pay you to the day you worked see you later. Benching a player at a big club does not work, one they wait for transfer window and leave or two they sit there and dont care. The Chelsea players who need to go do not deserve that, they should all be gone this morning sacked good luck. Yes this team won the league last season but like Mourinho said last night "Were these players playing way beyond expectation last season? Were we over achieving" etc etc I would like some players to go fast and us to buy 5 or 6 in January, players who want to play for the club who want to win and want to try. Last night 2 players came over to acknowledge the away fans after not turning up for 60minutes last night. Shocking! the contracts exist for a reason, so that you cant just kick a player out. so unless you want to pay off the rest of his contract as part of a severance package, then yes, benching is the closest you can get to sacking a player. he can sit on the bench and wait for a transfer window all he wants, but his value is going to go down and the whole world will learn of his attitude on and off the pitch. if youre at a big club and you try to pull off that shit your next club isnt going to be a big club (unless youre indispensable skill wise, but who can you call indispensable besides MAYBE hazard). say what you want about footballers, but 90% still want to play football. the adebayors and andersons are the very few football players who are content with just raking in money whilst doing nothing. other footballers who have dignity will try to fight for their place in order to play

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/soccer-fabregas-slams-attitude-behaviour-chelsea-players-194944825--sow.html The "behave" comment is interesting and probably just confirms that there is a hostile locker room right now and you would expect there to be even if there weren't rumors constantly flying around.

He will get until it is mathematically impossible to finish in europe places i think or at least until we get humbled by PSG in champions league. Mourinho the first manager Abramovich has ever publically backed which he did after Southampton game, he is also still regarded as the best manager in the world by the board too. Will take financial implications to get rid of him now aka no European football next year etc I think its two things that would do Mourinho in before the end of the season. Such high profile drama and outlandish statements from Mourinho towards his players that the environment gets so bad that they completely quit and go to the board asking for a change OR come February Chelsea are in the relegation zone. I don't think losing to PSG would get Mourinho fired and I don't think they have a shot for Europe this season unless Diego Costa scores 15 goals in their final 19 games or something dumb like that.
