Probably going back to crossfit this fall. Also a chance ill play rugby again - should be fun. In light of that I'm giving oly another try... We'll see how it goes. My pr snatch is 135 lbs of ugly power/muscle snatch but I'm actually really working technique, taking plenty of video and using cues and programming from catalyst athletics.... It's amazing how fast you can improve, I notice a difference every session. Give it a week or two and ill get some videos up here.

and how wud u find him? phone directly, google, ask at random gym?

say u wanted to get ur mom to see one , how wud random person go about this instead of ending up with someone not ideal?

A chiropractor recomended by other athletes.

gotunk loves the chiropractors. i think in the US you should look for a physical therapy place that focuses on athletic people and injuries, with therapists who know how to diagnose and treat, aka know what they are doing.

IIRC FFG is in the UK. But I agree with the sentiment, Physical therapist (who works with athletes regularly) > Chiropractor.

I'd also say Chiro who doesn't regularly work with athletes > PT who doesn't work with athletes, though.

If you have some local athletic clubs you could see if they use anyone that's not used solely for the team.

Tried on an SBD singlet a week ago and damn I realized I look like I have no ass. Should I be pulling my singlet up higher and wedgie myself?

Also: What do you guys do for extra glute work?

I think with your stats you'd probably be better off just doing glute engagement exercises before lifting. But barbell hip thrusts and kettlebell swings are awesome as well. I also find that doing stuff like ab wheel rollouts/planks help if you are squeezing your glutes actively throughout the exercise.

As an aside, Despite not being lean whatsoever I hit 19 bodyweight pull-ups at around 165 lbs without being warmed up. I could've cheated a couple more, but I tried to keep them as clean as possible. Although then a 7 year-old girl gymnast did 20 incredibly clean kipping pull-ups (just used a small hip thrust to build momentum), so my accomplishment seemed kinda shitty in comparison.
