I prefer a self lift off now, it's easier to dig my traps into the bench while unracking

Progress has been steady and easy though, hopefully I can ride 4kg jumps for a while longer and be doing 5x5 in the 110-120 range in a few weeks. Press is at 70kg for 5x5. So weak. I guess it's not that far off my old 5RM of 85kg though. God I'm bad at pressing. On June 30 2016 20:40 zatic wrote: Same for me. I've been doing a lot of lower trap activation stuff and it's been helping with my shoulder positioning and pain.

I actually prefer land mines rows where your furthest shoulder is at the end of the bar, and your shoulder nearest the landmine is the arm that is doing the pulling. Have to keep the core tight and provides some rotational torque.

I never get a good pump doing bent over rows and my lower back ends up fatiguing. Tried high pulls today and I don't have experience doing oly lifts so it felt like my traps and shoulders were getting worked more. Just switch to olympic lifting. Your back will explode. I'm like 90% quads and back xD

Can you guys recommend like 2-3 HIIT routines? I've access to most aerobic gym equipment, rowing, bikes, etc, except a track. IgnE gave me a bike/row/bike/row thing that works for me.

Cuz my guess would be thats the reason for the traps getting sore, its like doing very high tricep pushdowns - like almost going to your chin with the bar and pushing from there will activate the traps

Do you have access to so-called "battle ropes"? Those can be a fun HIIT thing to do. Pushing a sled back and forth is also fun. You can also try a jump rope / row (or bike) HIIT.

but ask most people who is more beastly, that tarzan actor or some rugby player, and they will look at ripped tarzan with his unreal eight pack and say he's a beast
