as you saw in my post.. a few hours earlier.. Dana White stares straight into the camera and swears on a stack of bibles its Aldo v. Mcgregor and he yammers on about how Cowboy Cerrone fought with the same injury and absorbed rib shots and won. Aldo was the only champ (out of 10 champs ) not at the Reebock unveiling... they were trying to keep Aldo out of the USA as long as possible so that no one could see his ribs  | ||

I really believe a part of this is Aldo being scared.. What a shame we now have to watch Chad Mendes get beaten to a pulp | ||

If you are not diagnosing the guy personally you don't have a clue the severity of his injury. Aldo may or may not be ducking Mcgregor. We have insufficient information to assess this. | ||

Everyone was pumped for Aldo/McGregor...but imagine Aldo/McGregor without the questions of "oooh but is conor actually for real? never faced a wrestler blah blah blah." And then you toss in an extra belt. I would actually be willing to wait for that if I thought it was a foregone conclusion that McGregor beats Mendes, instead I really have a feeling that we are about to get Mendes/Aldo 3. Hype never survives, man  | ||

Getting injured mid fight vs going in with an injury cannot be compared. Pre-fight injuries have an affect on your ability to train and mess with your mentality. (You subconsciously start protecting an injured area which could open up other areas.) Also a fighter's injury becoming public it just becomes a HUGE bull's eye for his opponent. | ||
