but.. Holy Fuck that was impressive by Benson. By far the most impressive performance by Benson in the octagon. Overcoming that size advantage with his speed. Not to mention his wrestling came in big time with those 2 super nice takedowns. No surprise that his BJJ was better, but it was weird that Thatch just gave up his back both times they went to the ground. | ||

more good comedy  i think the UFC is better off trying to teach their best fighters how to also entertain. rather than signing an entertainer/actor like CM Punk and trying to make him a top notch fighter. | ||

and its not Benson Henderson. so Ben Henderson basically called out Rory already knowing he would not have to fight him. the UFC should hire Ben Henderson to write jokes for the other commentators. "what is going to happen on wednesday?" Dana White : " lots of bad shit. its not good news " after UFC Fight Night 60 i've become a huge Ben Henderson fan. | ||

HBO couldn't get anyone to pay for the Douglas fight so they had to go to Japan. Tyson started going downhill as soon as he got rid of Rooney as trainer in 1988. Tyson was the most exciting fighter ever.. for about 4 years. check it at 13:40. | ||

Without diving to far off topic that's why Ali may be my GOAT when you take into consideration entertainment outside of the ring, but I don't necessarily think he was the GOAT based on his in-ring performance alone. That would probably have to go to my man Sugar Ray Robinson. That man was a beast! Anyway my point being GSP was a boring champion to watch. He WAS great to watch before he had the belt, he finished almost all of his fights. Since he got his belt, every fight but 2 has gone to decision, one of which was against an out of shape BJ Penn stepping up in weight class. As compared to Silva, Matt Hughes, or Jon Jones (other than the last few fights) who were/are ending fights left and right as champion (enhancements not withstanding). GSP has to finish a top contender as champion before he can be in contention for GOAT in my opinion. Matt Hughes at the end of his career and Matt Sera just don't impress me. EDIT: I love Burt Sugar. The kind of guy you never wonder where you stand with him. | ||
